maybe Rip Hunter or the Flash alluding to the universe of the movies
You mean like maybe have Rip say something like "I've seen men of steel die and Dark knights fall?"
Yea, that could work.
That's a reference to the future of the "Flarrow"-verse itself, not to the films.
Batman and Superman might not exist on Earth-1 of the "Flarrow"-verse YET, but they will at some point, since Rip has witnessed their deaths.

The DEO stuff is the only thing that makes Supergirl a superhero show at this point. If it wasn't for them, she'd probably spend 30 minutes an episode as Kara being the verbally abused minion of a moronic CEO
10 minutes in some love triangle and maybe 5 minutes stopping a random crime as Supergirl. One thing this show has done well is make me want a real Supergirl show. I hope we get one, someday.
Maybe when Green Arrow gets to be the star of his own show again, after Greg Berlanti is allowed to quit and go make the non-superhero Soap Opera he obviously wants to write, .
I don't know why, but this crossover feels like a Plan B to me. If Supergirl gets cancelled, they will have established the Arrowverse as a place she could escape to and live on. As a precursor to the Crisis in Barry's future, Supergirl could turn out to be (or at least believe she is) the lone survivor of her universe. That then gives her a place to make guest appearances on Flash or even head up a season of Legends.
If there's some kind of licensing conflict, they could probably have her adopt the name Power Girl.

Rip mentioned nicknames readers commonly associate with Superman and Batman. The heroes themselves were not named, and thus the nicknames can mean anything in the Arrowverse.Well considering they did a flagrant reference to both Superman and Batman in this last episode of Legends of Tomorrow, I think your theory there is way off. Considering no one's been fired and all.

Did you even bother to read what I was replying to, or do you guys really have some mental block that prevents you from seeing more than one post at a time or something? That seems to be awfully common around these parts.Rip mentioned nicknames readers commonly associate with Superman and Batman.
