Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

So we got answers on Theta Protocol, and now we know what's hidden on Gonzalez's carrier too! What a start to the show!

(or at least we know the consequences of what's hidden on the boat)

This still doesn't answer the question, who were all the people working on the Helicarrier? Were they a group of ex-SHIELD agents that Coulson kept hidden from the our cast of characters?

So May is still on the board...which means Coulson answers to May...

...and boy, has May gotten angsty. I just got my daily dose of angst over on the CW....

Boy, they sure did gloss over Age of Ultron quickly. Nothing like the way Winter Soldier forever changed the series. I wanted to see them fight an Ultron drone dammit!

EDIT: They finally spelled it out. Cal takes a serum to give himself super-powers, though they still are vague on what those powers are.

So the Wardmeister is still in the house....

And I was right not to like SkyeMom.

lol, Raina was right! She was telling the truth trying to save them.

Now we know what Jiaying saw in Cal.

Lots of betrayal tonight. Can't wait for next week's finale. (Good thing that Coulson didn't insist on meeting with Skye's mother)

I was wondering if Coulson could have survived, with that Kree blood he apparently has.

Did anyone else feel like they packed in too much in this episode? It just felt rushed to me. Good episode, but it seemed like things just happened really fast.

And I guess Gonzalez! has joined Hartley after all. :(

I really don't think Cal is surrendering, after all. What's in those vials, oh, nothing.

Nick Fury says
“Nice, right? Pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends. She’s dusty but she’ll do.

So it was just an old Hellicarrier with a new coat of paint?

Surely that didn't take billions and a year?

Man, nesting quotes is still a challenge around here. :rommie:

My money is still on the helicarrier (100 bunk beds, remember?), but we'll see next week one way or the other. As for May, she didn't have to know what Theta Protocol was, just go to the toolbox and say "initial Theta Protocol". Which she would have done without question because she trusted Coulson.
Ah, you think they are replacing the Bus with a helicarrier? I could go for that.

Having seen Age of Ultron tonight, I could see that being a distinct possibility.

Boy did you call it, Reverend!

A strong episode. I was pumped about the new council but the loss of Gonzales is a bummer. And Mack had good reasons to leave (af least from his point of view) but I liked his chemistry with the group, mainly with Fitz and their mechanic/engineer relationship. Also with them revealing a Helicarrier cgi, it seems they may be sporting one soon enough. Really, what's Shield without a Helicarrier.

Jiaying's decision was a surprise. You'd think she should have been able to tell the difference between Shield and Hydra.

I'm also getting a Civil War vibe in the cast but that's a spoil worthy conversation.

Ward is a complex character. It feels like he's always lying, which makes it hard to predict his intentions, and now he has an invisible jet too.

lol, Raina was right! She was telling the truth trying to save them...

She lies and manipulates and now when she tells the truth, they don't trust her, or at least that's how I'm betting it turns out in the finale.

I was wondering if Coulson could have survived, with that Kree blood he apparently has.
I wondered the same thing.

Same here.

For all you Fitz fans, we watched a movie called Lost River this weekend. Absolutely gorgeous film, though it has a few narrative issues. Fitz plays a fairly prominent role.

I've seen mixed reviews online, but for me, the positives outweigh the negatives. (I'll admit, I'm easy to please when it comes to movies.)

It'll be interesting to see if Ward really has Kara's best interests in mind, or if she gets stabbed in the back too.

I can see where Mack is coming from, and it makes sense that if it was going to happen, it would be this week, now that Coulson had re-assumed command.
