Captain .... Series

Re: Richard Robau Captain, USS Hornet, Commanding 3rd Squadron

One small problem.

dammit! :klingon:

Robau is only canon in JJ's Alternate Universe, and 12 years later, he's still dead.

Robau and the Kelvin are PRIME *timeline* (and the best thing from jj-trek, by far!)

...in the Axanar "universe", the Narada incursion never happened. (thank god!) :)

I would really be delighted if you could talk about something OTHER than Axanar. It's tiresome, factually wrong, and simply looks like you are rambling. There are 12 Trek movies and over 700 episodes made to date. Really a 30 minute preview showing people talking to a green screen is the best that was ever done in 50 years?

Personally, I find that '30 minute preview' to be far more interesting and entertaining than the whole of STID.

A series focusing on Garth of Izar or Sonya Alexander would be something I would happily watch.

Re: Richard Robau Captain, USS Hornet, Commanding 3rd Squadron

A John Cho Sulu series could be cool.

George Takei wouldn't think so.

What George Takei thinks has never mattered to Paramount/CBS. Besides, why would he not think its cool? A character he brought to life 50 years ago and synonymous with would become the center of a TV series.

Which Search4 wasn't talking about, he was talking about being fixated with one twenty minutes preview over the entire 700-hundred hours of the franchise.

^Because he would insist on being a part of the series somehow (as an older Sulu telling a story, perhaps). Takei has never been able to understand or accept that his character wasn't as important as those of his colleagues.

I tend to think Mr. Takei understands that his time is past where Star Trek is concerned.

It was a tougne-in-cheek comment that should not have been taken seriously.

Dear Bry,

I think that you have excellent taste. I wanted to say Capt. Sonya Alexander, but was afraid of being called out for being "non-canon" :p

I think she could EASILY end up being the BEST thing about Axanar! :D

Will you be my friend? :)

I could see Takei being cast as Sulu's father.
Takei/Sulu: "Hikaru, I ... am your father."

Cho/Sulu: "Nooooo !!!!!"

Cho/Sulu throws himself down the same bottomless shaft Riker would later drop the Viceroy into.

:)

You'll actually find me to be a very respectful poster, when I'm dealing with respectful posters. You'll find I'm an ass when I'm dealing with an ass.

There was nothing acrimonious about the exchange between myself and RandyS. People disagree and misinterpret things all the time here. But the discussions are all done for fun. Might want to grow up and get use to people not agreeing with you.

Disagreement is what drives places like this. If we all felt the same, none of us would be here for long.

...it's what drives YOU. disagreement is fine... belligerence is not... take it somewhere else, please?

:techman:

I never have hard feelings about people on this board. We're all here because we're all passionate about Star Trek.

Life's too short for hard feelings.
