Agents of SHIELD - Season 2 Discussion Threads. (Spoilers Likely)

^It's comic book logic, I wouldn't expend too much effort trying to explain it. Personally I thought the "glass = invisible" thing was far less credible. ;)
I know, but it's fun to rationalize. :rommie:

I'm just wondering who in comic book history thought "Absorbing Man" was a good, cool name. I'm pretty much glad the show uses his "real" name--"Creel" sounds cooler than "Absorbing Man".

I mean, "The Absorber" sounds better, or even "Elemental Man" (that flows--it rolls off the tongue, as opposed to "Absorbing Man"...).
Would you prefer... Absorbaloff? XD
Absorber The Greek! :mallory:

In his reddit AMA today, Robert Downey Jr mentioned twice that he'd be open to showing up on an episode of AOS.

Doesn't mean it's guaranteed to happen, but he'd sure as hell be a ratings boost. And with the recent talk that Iron Man 4 might be a possibility after all, it seems that he's much more open to showing up as Stark a few more times than previously thought.

I think it would be fitting since Clark Gregg isn't slated to appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The Avengers have got to find out sooner or later.

And heaven knows, the show pretty much needs it.

Watching the new episode--and right away, I know: This. Season. Will. Be. AWESOME.

Glad to see Simmons is a Mole, and not a traitor.

Guess Fitz is aware of Simmons leaving after all...and it's great to see him working with the others again.

And kudos on bringing back a certain someone from Season One....

Seeing RDJ on AOS would be awesome. And, yeah, RDJ all but came out and said (well, I guess he actually DID come out and say...) that Iron Man 4 is happening.

It was before your correction.

Anyway...I LOVE
Fitz's confrontation with Ward. PAYBACK, BABY!!!

I missed the first half. Anyone want to fill me in?

Mysterious White-haired Guy and Mysterious Dark-haired Deep-voiced Guy are torturing SHIELD Agent 33 (whoever that is...heh-heh) to get her to join.

Simmons is Coulson's mole in HYDRA. She's in the low-levels as a scientist, and is befriending a heavyset guy.

She finds out HYDRA has an interest in Donnie Gill--the student who got freezing powers in Season One. She reports to Coulson, Coulson briefs the team (including Fitz!). Ward explains to Skye that HYDRA is obsessed with recruiting "gifteds". Those they can't recruit...they kill.

Simmons is summoned to the higher levels of HYDRA...and Mysterious Dark-haired Deep-voiced Guy challenges her on what she was keeping from them...about her relation with Gill. He then assigns her to convince Gill to join them.

Meanwhile, Fitz realized Coulson and company are keeping something from him. When the team goes on the Bus to find Gill first, Fitz discovers Ward...and kicks butt getting payback. There's no damage--and Ward tells Fitz that the team's walking into a trap....

Pretty awesome episode, and next week looks like it will be a lot of fun.

BTW, it's Donnie Gill, not Dobie.
