I'm glad that you're having a speedy recovery, Ziyal, though I'm sorry to hear about the bladder and bowel control issues. Hopefully those are just temporary. Hang in there, and I wish you all the best. :)

In the cute and funny department, I offer my cat Lilly, recently ordered from Amazon.com... ;)

Owwww! Beautiful cat. :)
I can't find any like her on Amazon...

It's in that special section of Amazon with the three wolves t-shirts, black market kidneys, and uranium ore.

*Delicate hugs*

I hope you continue to heal quickly and that the bodily functions return to normal quickly.

Wow, your cat and mine must be long-lost siblings or something.

Continued positive vibes being sent to you. Hang on...those bowel issues will clear up. Try and be patient, although i KNOW that is hard to do. I had kidney surgery a few years ago and ....

....Skip if TMI is more than you can handle......

they wouldnt release me until i put out a certain amount of urine (meaning that my kidneys were working properly again). To quote J. T. Kirk, "I HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU!" (to the hospital). I WANTED OUT.

Anyway, the nurse would come in every now and then, measure my urine output (had to pee in a container thing, lovely) and then she'd pour it out. Well, the nurse forgot to pour it out. So i saved it.....

and just kept adding to it.....until there was enough in there that made them happy. :D

And they released me. Ok, probably not the wisest thing to do cos who knew if my kidneys WOULD kick into gear or not.

But my point of telling you this story is...be patient, even though i personally have NO PATIENCE whatsoever. Your functions WILL RETURN.

I COMMAND IT!

And, if nothing else, look at Bassett Hounds running:

Yesterday I was transferred to an acute rehabilitation facility! Expect to be here at least a week. I'm getting two hours of physical therapy and one hour of occupational therapy every day. In other words, they're working me hard.

Everyone says my recovery is awesome (It's scary that these hotshot docs are young enough to use that word as frequently as they do. lol). Emotionally, it's been really rough. I'm just coming out of a two-day emotional meltdown.

You all have no idea how much I appreciate and enjoy your support and your silliness. :)

So very glad that your surgery and rehab are going well!!

Sorry I disappeared on you all. Crazy acute rehab place wanted to send me home with a few hours of home health care per week. No way I was ready for that! So I am now in SUB-acute rehab, I imagine for a week or so. But winning that battle and surviving the emotional runaround that they put me through during the last few days have totally worn me out. I can't even begin to describe how miserable I feel! Please know that I am reading your posts here even when I don't have the energy to respond.

Ouch.. Sorry to hear you're feeling miserable. Here's an ascii mouse for you:

----{,_,">

I don't know if it will make you feel any better but there it is anyway.. I'll be thinking of you and as before, wishing you a speedy recovery!

I don't have pictures of cute animals - how about a cute vegetable?

I'm sorry you had to expend so much emotional energy just to get proper care - that isn't right.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm glad you won the battle to get the care you needed, though, and I hope that this will be what's right for you.
