You're least favorite Trek book

Here's hoping this thread doesn't get as ugly.
As for my least favorite book, that easily goes to Captain's Table: The Mist. The most obnoxious, argumentive, headache-inducing, pointless book I've ever read. I'm still amazed I finished the whole thing (as oppose to the Millennium trilogy which disgusted me thoroughly).

I'm surprised no one mentioned Perry's Planet. I have a couple of cases of ST novels dating back to Spock Must Die! and Perry's Planet leapt to mind when I saw the topic. It could have been a decent episode TOS but reading it hurt. Actual pain centered right in the middle of my forehead.
That having been said, I agree with an earlier poster who said many of the bad ones were due to disappointment. But a few...I just had to question their existence. I seem to remember one set TNG about Russian ghosts bugging Troi...I think that was one I threw at the wall upon finishing, annoyed that I actually paid for it. Then I picked it up and shelved it alphabetically by Title and Series.(Hey, c'mon, even bad Star Trek is still Star Trek-I never throw anything ST away.)

The Fearful Summons is not only my least favourite Star Trek book of all time, it's one of the worst books I've ever read, period. No one's in character (especially Spock, who's inexplicably becomes an actor), the plot meanders all over the place, and the editing is atrocious - one character changes rank three times in two pages. I seriously thought about circling all the proofreading mistakes in red pen and mailing the book to Pocket Books with a note asking if they needed a proofreader.
Other than that, least favourites are:

The Fate of the Phoenix (Are we sensing a pattern? Although actually, I quite liked The Price of the Phoenix, oddly enough...)

Spock, Messiah!

There are a lot of Trek books I didn't necessarily care for, but these are really the only ones I can think of where I had such a strong negative reaction that I will never read them again.

My choices for book I didn't like the most are a toss-up between Worlds of DS9: Trill "Unjoined" and TNG Invasion! "The Soldiers of Fear."

Funny, I just read "The Entropy Effect" recently, and it reminded me of everything I loved about Star Trek in general and TOS in particular.
I also have a soft spot for "Chainmail" - it's a pity there never has been a real continuation other than the short story in Gateways #7.
Right now, my least favourite ST-book is "Sword of Damocles". I can't even get myself to finish it. I'm about halfway through... and it's just plain boring. (IMO, of course. ). There are quite a few other books, of course, that weren't to my liking, the Maximum Warp-duology comes to mind. Or the most recent NF-installments. Like someone else said in this thread, I seem to have outgrown my fondness for Peter David's writing style and find myself increasingly disappointed with NF. So I guess, it's a question of definition of "least favourite book".

Interesting results, I consider Crucible McCoy being the best Trek Book ever, Orions Hounds makes it easily into the top 5....

I've seen "Spock, Messiah!" on here a couple times. I just finished it last night. I thought it was alright for the most part. Except they should've thrown Ensign George in the brig when all was said and done.
"The Future Begins". That annoying Professor Andrews puts me off every time...
I'm really surprised at the reaction to the ENTROPY EFFECT,one of the more memorable books IMO.
My hate is reserved for WARPED,which I bought in hardback...what a waste of time etc.
The NEW EARTH books,I bought en masse.....boy,now that was a steaming pile.
