^yeah. I used a little egg white and milk for the "glue" for the panko, and liquids + Panko style crumbs = mush. Clearly, I did not think that one through.
How did you cook them? When I use panko I either fry or bake. Even baking them they don't always come out crispy, but they're not all that mushy. Frying them gives that crisp texture but I hate to fry things if I don't have to. Then again, I almost never use an egg in the coating.

Yesterday was the day dad and I started the first batch of the seasons pickling. We bought the salt sugar, vinegar spices and cucumbers yesterday and I've pickled my part today as my recipe is a 24-hour one -dad has a different recipe that takes two days.
