Your latest purchases, cont.

Two frames, a sheet of decorative radiator grating and little picture hangy things. I'm going to make something to put my earrings on!

Dinner and some drinks at the local restaurant where my buddy's band played this evening.

Update to my last post; here's what I made with my purchases.

I bought tickets to a Carolina league baseball game for 20 of my son's closest friends. Very memorable birthday party!

Some takeout breakfast first thing this morning. A couple of sausage, egg and bacon biscuits.

Low fat(ish) milk for my morning coffee today.

Not terribly exiting, I know, but after a whole day where I couldn't access this site I just needed to post something.

A medium pepperoni Hot-N-Ready from Little Caesar's. Couldn't resist. Those have got to be the greasiest pizzas in existence.

Cool! I've seen that done with screens, but the radiator grating is more decorative.

Thanks! I had actually made one a long time ago but used ribbon. It was pretty, but smaller and the ribbons wouldn't have held up as well as this. I haven't seen the ones with screen but I saw this on Pinterest and had to try it. I have far too many earrings! I'm also conscious of the fact that I'm getting older and didn't wanted something that would still look nice.

Rolling the dice on Microsoft, thinking that the outcome of the Apple/Samsung court case, combined with the upcoming releases of Windows 8 and Surface might have potential to all give Microsoft a chance to make some headway. Its share price has been stagnant for a decade plus, but the dividend has been pretty solid throughout, so figure its worth a long-term punt. :D

^ Trader Joe's makes some excellent pizzas (frozen, obviously). Their personal size Olympiad pizzas are terrific (pic1, pic2). They also have a few large ones with different toppings--all very nicely done and reasonably priced.
