Your latest purchases, cont.

Bought a couple of jars to steep rosa rugosa hips in:

Are those also called swing top jars? -or do they have another name?

I love those jars, trekkiedane!

I've only had it for a few hours and all I've managed to do so far is to attach the lens, but I'm already in love.

^yeah. I used a little egg white and milk for the "glue" for the panko, and liquids + Panko style crumbs = mush. Clearly, I did not think that one through.

Next time, I'll just use a little flour.

How did you cook them? When I use panko I either fry or bake. Even baking them they don't always come out crispy, but they're not all that mushy. Frying them gives that crisp texture but I hate to fry things if I don't have to. Then again, I almost never use an egg in the coating.

Pan fried. The beef is extremely thin.

I'm not much of a cook. Usually, I try to find it "pre-breaded" at the H.E.B. Then I can just slap it in a pan and cook it in just a few minutes.

I also purchased a bag of chips yesterday, which I polished off at my desk today. :alienblush:

I traded in

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind DVD
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Blu-ray
Deliverance Blu-ray
Interview with the Vampire Blu-Ray
Madden 2010 for PS3
and chipped in 27 cents to get

Babel and The Damned United on Blu-ray

Yesterday was the day dad and I started the first batch of the seasons pickling. We bought the salt sugar, vinegar spices and cucumbers yesterday and I've pickled my part today as my recipe is a 24-hour one -dad has a different recipe that takes two days.

This picture is from last year as I forgot to take a picture today :(

I had a 40% off coupon for a local hallmark store, so i bought the TNG 25th Anniversary ornament with it. Also dinner for two at Monti's La Casa Vieja.

New dark-wash jeans from Coldwater Creek. They were $25 dollars off and still too freakin' expensive, but I bought them anyway.
