A few pet supplies and some snacks.
Bought a couple of jars to steep rosa rugosa hips in:
Are those also called swing top jars? -or do they have another name?
Note to self: don't ever make Beef Milanese with Panko-style breading. BLEH.
I love those jars, trekkiedane!
My new purchase:
I've only had it for a few hours and all I've managed to do so far is to attach the lens, but I'm already in love.
^yeah. I used a little egg white and milk for the "glue" for the panko, and liquids + Panko style crumbs = mush. Clearly, I did not think that one through.
Next time, I'll just use a little flour.
How did you cook them? When I use panko I either fry or bake. Even baking them they don't always come out crispy, but they're not all that mushy. Frying them gives that crisp texture but I hate to fry things if I don't have to. Then again, I almost never use an egg in the coating.
Pan fried. The beef is extremely thin.
I'm not much of a cook. Usually, I try to find it "pre-breaded" at the H.E.B. Then I can just slap it in a pan and cook it in just a few minutes.
I also purchased a bag of chips yesterday, which I polished off at my desk today.
Refilled all four of my prescriptions. Thank God for I have insurance...
I traded in
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind DVD
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly Blu-ray
Interview with the Vampire Blu-Ray
Madden 2010 for PS3
and chipped in 27 cents to get
Babel and The Damned United on Blu-ray
Some groceries and gas for the weekend along with a few more action figures.
Some CDs - a few Saint Etienne ones and one Primal Scream.
Yesterday was the day dad and I started the first batch of the seasons pickling. We bought the salt sugar, vinegar spices and cucumbers yesterday and I've pickled my part today as my recipe is a 24-hour one -dad has a different recipe that takes two days.
This picture is from last year as I forgot to take a picture today
I had a 40% off coupon for a local hallmark store, so i bought the TNG 25th Anniversary ornament with it. Also dinner for two at Monti's La Casa Vieja.
Some takeout breakfast first thing this morning.
New dark-wash jeans from Coldwater Creek. They were $25 dollars off and still too freakin' expensive, but I bought them anyway.
Groceries, gas, and some cage liners for my guinea pigs. Plus I have a few other things on order for my critters.
Bought a one week Metro pass on my SmarTrip card in DC
Dinner for 3 at Lasagna House. YUM.
