Your latest purchases, cont.

One of the best fresh not frozen pizzas I've ever eaten came from Aldi! It tasted almost as good as my local pizza joint. Almost!

Picked these up at Charming Charlie yesterday:

The ring is a watch- you lift the baby turtle's shell up to read it.

I also ordered a set of mini Avengers figures, even though I already have two of them.

Four of these:

I'm not sure it was legal to sell them to me as they're clearly marked "Flensburger" and therefore must be deposit-bottles from the brewery.

ETA: What are such bottles called in English? -around here they're called something like Patent-cork bottles.

There's a few breweries that have used this bottle design. Grolsch is one of them that comes to mind that still does. I've seen it called "flip top", and "EZ cap", but it looks to me like "swing top" is more commonly used.

I highly doubt you have anything to worry about legally. Micro breweries that use a bottle deposit system have the bottle cost in the price, which is credit back towards you next purchase when you return it.

'Swing top' makes sense to me and is easy to remember! -thanks.

I didn't think I was in any trouble, but stealing bottles from breweries in other countries and then selling them for more than the deposit just seems wrong to me :rommie:

And here is what I bought them for :)

Kirsten Beyer's The Eternal Tide and Plagues of Night (DRGIII) - I've been swamped in RL and am looking forward to catching up!

Two more action figures I didn't own from the local toy and collectibles shop along with a little bit of gas for the car.

A trans fat-free pie crust, some everything bagels and low fat cream cheese. Some other odds and ends as well.

I've been really bad at the grocery store lately.:( Must get back on track.

Yep, that's what I call them too. "Swing-tops" or "swing-top stoppers".

I bought McDonalds yesterday. Stock, not burgers. But it made me think; they should give you the option to take part of your dividend as tax-free burgers. :D

About 15 dollars worth of groceries. Felt like doing something different for dinner tonight.

Feel like sharing details? I'm always interested in trying something new.

I bought a lighted magnifying mirror. I had one before without the light but it makes a big difference. I already have a love/hate relationship with it.

^Instead just having shrimp or pasta like we usually do, I decided to make Beef Milanese with Panko-style breading. Maybe I'll throw some mushrooms in as well. I also have some Jasmine rice and some peas.
It will be a fast but less boring meal---I hope.
