Lifestyle Illustration of the 60s edited by Rian Hughes.

Not a massive fan of 60s style here, but that seems like a very well put together book. I love these kind of look-books.

I bought new summer trousers yesterday - bright blue, and a sort of milky coffee brown. Good colours; and a good fit off-the-rack. Looking forward to wearing them once they're hemmed.

iTunes season pass for Doctor Who, series six part one. Good to have, because I'll miss two episodes while I'm in New Orleans in May.

Just won an eBay auction for a pretty cool Launer coat wallet.

Hardly used, and a new identical one would be over £140, so I'm pleased. Been thinking about getting a fullsize wallet for some time, as I'm nearly always in a jacket anyway, and they look much sleeker in a jacket pocket than a billfold type of wallet.

Got me a pair of shoes for the season. Amazingly I found them at G-Star, not a brand known for shoes. I saw them in their window and they looked beautiful, so I decided to try them on and they were soooo light and comfortable!
Very happy with the purchase:

Got me a pair of shoes for the season.

Definitely should get a lot of use; very versatile colour. Nice one. It's good to find the occasional bargain, to mitigate the conscience against the pricier purchases. The best deal I ever found on cheap shoes were espadrilles at Primark, for about £2 each. Perfect for disposable holiday use.

I officially turn my old house over to the new owner tomorrow and close on my new and better home on May 10! WOOHOOO!!!!! No more leaves to rake, extremely small yard to mow! The 12 years of back breaking yard work is almost at an end.

I picked up a copy of Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand on Saturday.

I have owned that book for well over 10 years and have yet to open it.

Skip the novel portions, and just skim-read Galt's multi-chapter long speeches towards the end. You'll extract the ideological value without wasting your time on the rest, which is a pretty mediocre framing device.

I bought lots of navy Falke socks. Hey, everyone has to do boring shopping every now and then...

... I did however pick up my seersucker jacket from the tailors after some pre-season alterations to get it fitting right again. Much more interesting!

Not a purchase, but a wonderful gift, for which I am really grateful. :)
I discovered Tateossian a couple of years ago and am fascinated by the qaulity and make of the jewellery they sell.
