Your latest purchases, cont.

I bought a "cat chastiser" the other day! -it's actually just a can with a hand operated pump (like a window cleaner bottle that has never had any chemicals in it ;) ); I can now spray water at the cat from several meters away :rommie:

It works too! three times I've used it and the cat now doesn't play with my 'x-mas tree' any more.

My dad's Christmas presents arrived from amazon today- Alton Brown's Good Eats: The early years and the middle years. Both books come with DVDs. I'm sure Dad will like them- Alton Brown is one of his heroes. :p

For myself, I bought four mini American Girl dolls. I have five of them already, and they're on my Christmas tree. Eventually, I hope to have all 14!

Wasn't my latest *purchase* since I bought this on pre-order way back in September, but I will get my 2010 World Series DVD set tomorrow. :)

Yes, I said it, I preordered the World Series before I even knew who would be playing in it. I'm a collector.

My aunties got this Pandora charm for me, as a Christmas gift. :)

Had to go buy some blank CDs today. The only way I could get the price almost down to 1 USD per disc was by buying 25 of them... making safety copies is serious business

I bought a couple of these

They are called Little Travellers and are made by HIV/AIDS patients in South Africa and for many of them it is their only source of income. No two of these little dolls are the same I won't know what mine look like until they arrive. They cost $5 each.

24's final season on DVD. They really went cheap on this release...2 short featurettes on designing CTU and another on using CGI and greenscreens to make Los Angeles look like New York City, a paltry number of deleted scenes and some short bits on filming certain scenes. And no freaking commentaries..the last three seasons had 12 commentaries each. Argh...my favorite special features not included. Lame Fox...really lame!

Those are adorable, and for a good cause. How big (or, rather, how little) are they?

ETA Never mind the question; I just noticed the safety pins. Doh.

Here is a video about the Little Travellers

I did say that they were all made by women who have HIV/AIDS. That is not completely true as they are made by women 'living with HIV/AIDS' and that includes women who are raising grandchildren orphaned by AIDS and women who are caring for HIV/AIDS infected family members.

Bought a motherboard for my IBM Thinkpad project I'm working on. Parts from T40, T41, T42, T43 and a slaughtered HP laptop. FRANKENSTEIN LIVES!
