I can't believe people actually get paid to make such crappy movie case art. What the frak did he or she do to Angelina Jolie's face?!?!?!

^Ooh, I like them, Holdfast. Great color.

Well, when it comes to Wellington boots, the colour choice tends to be limited to either green or black, and I prefer the green.

I wish I could find some way to getting rid of the Hunter logo though. It's not a sticker; it's actually bonded to the rubber, and it's a bit garish to my eye.

OK, I'm revising this opinion. I hope the logo stays around; three pretty girls complimented me on the wellies today with a variant on the theme of "ooh, Hunters, they're so cool". I never realised they had such devoted fanbase, but I'm shallow enough to definitely appreciate it!

Finished up my xmas shopping today by purchasing gift cards for some fast food joints (for my kids and husband). Woohoo!! Stick a fork in me......I'm DONE!

Congratulations. I won't stick the fork in for fear you'll pop, but you should take the chance to down a relaxing sherry or two instead, in the lull before the Christmas Day storm. ;)

^ I try to limit my predictability in any given post to just one line-item... talking shoes filled the quota there. ;)

good punnery is always welcome!

back to topic:

a spiral cut ham
gift cards for "just-in'case" people I've forgotten - it happens every year - grrrr!
"Killing Time" the ST book so interestingly discussed in the Spock/Kirk slash thread elsewhere . . .

TOO MUCH SNOW. :(

Had to go into town for a fitting on a double-breasted dinner jacket and the weather was so awful I promptly bought - and immediately wore - a pair of wellies to cope with all the snow and slush. Any excuse for new shoes/boots... :)

I know the feeling, I had to buy my very first pair since I was a child this year. I too went for Hunter, mine are navy blue though, and as luck has it I ended up spending £28 at John Lewis for them, since I fit perfectly snuggly (with my thickest socks on) in the children's largest size. :D

I bought two Lady GaGa shirts and all three of the Destiny books. I had to force myself to stop reading the first one; it's ssooo good!! Can't wait for the rest.

A pair of jeans from Coldwater Creek. They're having a 50% sale. That means I can ALMOST afford them!

I bought this for myself yesterday. As I collect glass ornaments and also spiders this was a very satifying find for me.

I wish the little fly came up better in the photo as it is rather cute.

Yesterday the Missus got me this lovely Hollister jacket, because I'm in a lumberjack mood this Christmas. :D

Wow, that's great; under half price, AND a cooler colour.

I like the plaid jacket too; lucky you!

No shopping today; did the last of the Christmas food shopping yesterday.

A small rollerball of Kate Spade's Twirl perfume. I love it, but didn't want to spend a lot on a big bottle. This will be enough for the days I don't wear my favorite, Vera Wang Princess. :D
