Your latest purchases, cont.

I bought a “Timmy Time” blanket off ebay. “Timmy Time” is a kids show from Aardman Productions (Wallace & Gromit). I started watching it to reduce my tension. I love it! It’s a British show, so no R1 dvds ... yet.

Out of interest - how easy is it to buy a region-free DVD player in the US? Here in Australia most DVD players are region-freebecause the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission deemed that DVDs regions were anti-competitive.

No idea. I hope someone here can answer that, but we have enough dvd players (2 plus a blu-ray), so I can’t really justify another. Unless it were at a really good price.

Halo 2 (PC)

The only Halo game that was still missing in my collection - now I can say with confidence that I own every incarnation of Halo on every platform :techman:

Bon Jovi Greatest Hits? TWO CDs? Really?

Bon Jovi Greatest Hits? TWO CDs? Really?
There is a single disc version as well...
One of those discs is a concert film, right?
Nope...
The 2nd disc has 12(in Europe 14) more tracks, some that really should be on the 1st(as the single disc version)...
Each CD contanis 2 new songs as well...
So 24/26 hits and 4 new songs...

A novel by a Norwegian writer called Jo Nesbo (with the slashed through "o" letter I don't know how to type) named Snowman. It's really good.

I bought some used books from the University library.

The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty
War of the Gods by Poul Anderson
Hellstrom's Hive by Frank Herbert

I went a little crazy today and bought these two masterpieces :)

That is such a brilliant series, and you've given me an idea for my husband's Christmas present. :bolian:

That's right.. Season 5-0. :techman:

The Hawaii Five-0 theme music is a staple piece always played by the children's orchestra my daughter plays in. I tell you, hearing that music practiced on an oboe is truly unique.

I purchased our vet's services today, and paid £158 for my daughter's pet rat to have a benign mammary gland tumour removed and be spayed to help avoid any further tumours developing (intact female rats are prone to these tumours). The poor rattie is groggy, a bit grumpy, and has had rather a lot of her fur shaved off. She'll be happier tomorrow when she can go back in her cage with her sister. They're missing each other right now. :(

^Hope rattie feels better! You're such a good grandma!

New sheets for my daughter's bed (how thrilling) and a nice throw for my son as one of his xmas gifts. I live such an exciting life......

I have read one novel by Jo Nesbo called "Nemesis". It was quite good but I didn't enjoy it as much as novels I have read by Karin Fossum, Arnaldur Indridason and Johan Theorin so I have placed Nesbo behind them in the list of books I must read. I do like the character of Harry Hole.
