Your latest purchases, cont.

Best by date.

In any case, I have had to destroy expired food when in retail due to going past the date, including Soda (how does that go bad) candy (same question) and other things that would be perfectly edible.
Sorry to go back to such an old post, but this reminded me of something that happened to me when I was working at Wal-Mart. One day one of the managers came over asked me to dump out a whole bunch of out of date bottles of tea, even though I didn't even work in food. They had me dumping them down a drain in the floor in the back of the store, and every time the tea splashed up and hit my skin, it literally felt like it was acid. I don't know if I was allergic, or if something had happened to the tea, but it really burned everywhere it touched my bare skin.

I bought a 4K media player a few months ago, and so far have also purchased these titles - Field of Dreams, The Crow, Highlander, Footloose, and The Italian Job. I also bought the proper boxsets for the Top Gun movies, the first three Matrix films, the Dark Knight trilogy, and Back to the Future.

After what seemed like an eternity thanks to Amazon dragging its feet, I finally got this in the mail today. I read the original hardcover version a few years back, and greatly enjoyed it...but this update is supposed to have around 60 pages of new material. Given that The Crow is one of my all-time favorite movies, I'm really hoping this fulfills my expectations as a longtime fan.

A pink mini-fan and a pink insulated drinking mug. My friend's birthday coming up and everyyear, I send her several cheap, fun gifts---her "birthday extravaganza of cheap gifts." She's in terrible health, can't walk hardly at all, has a hard time breathing and now can no longer eat solid foods. I know she gets terribly bored, so having a package arrive every day gives her something to look forward to. Not terribly environmentally friendly, but it makes her happy.

When my house started flooding, I tried to get my car to higher ground. It was a 2004 Toyota Highlander. I made it down the driveway and 2 houses up the street before it died. I got it over to the side of the road by pushing it by myself, helped by the fact that it was partially floating.

Since it was a 20 year old car I didn't get a lot for it from insurance but I had a little in savings and after an exhaustive search and a lot of gnashed teeth, I got a 2016 Ford Escape. It's about the same height as the Highlander so my mom who is in a wheelchair can get up into it.

There's expiration date, sell by date, and a third one I can't recall at the moment.
Best by date? (Usually an arbitrary date set by the manufacturer up to a year after packaging)

September has started and I got a text about my Cricket cell phone Auto-pay for the month. That also means my US Medicare part C (medigap health insurance) has also auto-payed.
