There's a few places around here that sell burgers made from veggie stuff. Hungry Jacks sold one calling it the "Rebel Whopper" and it actually was kind of popular. I loved them

Yeah, what I was trying to say is that the vegetarian/pesticarions/Vegans I know prefer veggie burgers that taste like veggie burgers, none of them like veggie products that attempt to simulate meat like beyond/impossible.

Beyond/impossible seem more targeted at bringing meat alternatives to market in a world where animal farming is a major contributor to climate change and carnivores reducing their ingestion of meat could make a big difference. They aren't even healthier than actual burgers. So after the initial sales due to curiosity ended over all sales dropped off a cliff because hardly anyone eats then regularly. Another chain in my area abandoned them this month.

I actually don't know a vegetarian/vegan that likes the beyond/impossible products. They seem more aimed at getting carnivores to start limiting their meat consumption, which is why they are failing. Are you a fan?
Yeah I like it, and I see a lot of the other vegans I follow on IG posting about some of vegan "meat" products they eat.
Gardein makes a lot of really good stuff.

Oh I get that.

One day we'll have more stuff like this everywhere and all the animals will be safe somewhere maybe, possibly.

Just bought a weekend ticket for the upcoming ComicCon in my hometown of Freiburg. It's a smaller one, with the biggest star guests being the German dub voice actors for Data and Riker, but that's fine, I can get them to sign my audio cassette of "Haven" which was my first encounter with Star Trek back when I was 5 years old.

Still doubtful I'll get to go to the bigger Con in Stuttgart in November, which would the first one of those I'd miss since they started back in 2016. But it's probably just not in my budget.
