Your latest purchases, cont.

Someone here, (sorry, do not remember who) recently wrote of looking for and getting Wacky Races model kits.

At the local discount big box I saw few of them on display. I remember watching and liking the show as a kid so I grabbed them. I got a Dick Dastardly, Penelope Pitstop and a Creepy Coupe.

Also picked up another 1:1000 Polar Lights NX-01 kit at the lowest price I have yet seen it going for. Now I can have one built both possible ways. :)

didn't like that synth/groovebox. well i liked it but it didn't do what I needed it to do. returned it. ordered another.

I am enjoying the hell out of this thing, though it is taking awhile to learn the nuances. no LCD, no menus, just buttons, knobs and a surprisingly intuitive pad.

I bought a tool to pull a corroded handle off of the shower faucet. Probably the only time in my life that I will use this tool and it broke.
that sucks. did it at least get the job done before it broke?

No, it didn't. I tapped on i the handle with a hammer for an hour and then I tried a block of wood and a pry bar. I wore myself out just pulling on it and I finally got it.
I almost threw myself backward when it finally have it up.

What is that?

Some toys at the fleamarket:

Didn't know what character or even toyline that viking-looking action figure was, but I liked the look and it only cost € 1.-, so I was quite happy to pick him up. Some online research showed it's Ares from the 1990s ToyBiz line for the Kevin Sorbo Hercules TV show, which considering the futuristic legs and alien-looking face I never would have guessed.

But I'm most happy about the Godzilla:

It's a bootleg Godzilla from 1986. The fins don't look anything like the proper Godzilla, but the rest of the figure is quite clearly based on Godzilla. And for only € 3.-, this find made my day.

I watched the first season of Hercules a year or two ago, and Ares looked like that in his first appearance. They actually have a page for the figure on the Wiki too, it was called the Ares With Detachable Weapons of War figure.

Got my first smart phone today as a free upgrade from my old dumb phone. I'd been debating getting a new phone for a while now, and the fact that I had to get one since the old one was 3G finally motivated me to upgrade.
