Just ordered online:

Legion of Superheroes The Complete series (Blu Ray) - I love a lot of the LoSH comics, and I've wanted to watch the cartoon, so seeing that this was just released last month was cool.

Justice League (BluRay/DVD Combo) - This and Birds of Prey are the only DCEU films I don't own on DVD or Blu Ray, and I actually kind of like JL, so I figured I might as well get it (especially since it was only $7).

The "Von Bek" omnibus by Michael Moorcock and some old comic books I used to own but lost.

With the exception of the last one, I bought all of these when they originally came out. All off the spinner rack at the local Stop-N-Go except for Mage. Good times

All I bought today was a single mp3 off Amazon--Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road." For some reason, that song has been in my head for days, so I just *had *to put it in my mp3 player.
 
My wife was curious about the recalled first printing of Killing Time, from 1985. I read it back in the day, because I always bought the novels as soon as they came out. I thought the "controversial" parts were just over-the-top and kind of funny. Anyhow, I sold off my collection about 15 years ago.

So....after sorting through hundreds of listings, I finally found this one. Seven out of the eight, including Killing Time, are Canadian editions with the little maple leaf on the cover. I had not been aware that Pocket made distinct editions for the Canadian market.

The lot was $12.22 and, happily, includes The Final Reflection, which is one of my favorite Trek novels. :cool:

While those are not first editions, they are all in unread condition and I bought them for the artwork on the covers. I have other reading copies. The lot of 5 was $3.99. :cool:

Arrived yesterday and turned out to be a box set! The seller hadn't mentioned the box or included an image of it in the listing. No wonder the books are in unread condition....happens a lot with box sets. You can even find some today that are still sealed in their original shrink wrap. Anyhow, except for some wear to the corners of the box, it looks like this one. Gotta love that Lou Feck art. :cool:

Just when you think that there is nothing new to discover amongst the old Star Trek stuff from the early years, something comes along that takes you a bit by surprise.

This is an 'error' that I have not seen before. It reminds me of the theory circulating around that NASA has been manipulating images of Mars and that the sky is actually blue. :D

To be an unusual variant and to have survived all these years in such nice condition....yeah, for $10.45, I had to have it. :cool:

I have decided to put together a set of the Canadian editions of the Pocket novels, over time, as availability and funds permit. This is the latest, which will be my last purchase for a few weeks. Great artwork by Boris Vallejo. This was $13.21. Super nice condition for its age. :cool:

14 cans of cat food. The only canned food my cat will eat (vet says his diet should be almost all canned/wet food for protein) has apparently been discontinued. Amazon no longer carries it, Petco & PetSmart don't have it, and Target says it's no longer available. I went online and found it at a local grocery store, and cleaned them out. Well, almost. I left one on the shelf, because I didn't want to be a total dick about it. ;)

Those books arrived today. All 8 are first printings, with the 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 on the copyright page. Although the copy of Killing Time is a first print, with all of the 'controversial' content intact, the cover is not embossed like the U.S. first print. Pawns and Symbols is also not embossed. The rest are. What I've found to be most unusual is that Uhura's Song has a white spine. Red lettering for the title, but the rest of the info on the spine is in black. It's an absolutely perfect, unread book. Amazing. Dreams of the Raven is a bit unusual. The paper used for the middle of the book is different than what was used for the first and last quarters. All in all, some neat Canadian printing variations. :)
 
I'm still trying to avoid the stores due to COVID-19, so I'm doing most shopping online now. My big purchase this week was a bunch of craft supplies from Michaels- three pads of scrapbook paper, several rolls of mesh for wreaths, and Halloween stickers. It should arrive tomorrow!

I just ordered a Na! Na! Na! Surprise doll from its fourth series, and next Tuesday, I'll finally get to use the American Girl gift card I got for my birthday. The new 80s doll, Courtney, will be available online! I have been waiting for an 80s girl for a long time.
