My dad was a fan of those. Tell you the truth, I'm half-surprised they still exist, but I do know there are still a lot of people out there that don't want smartphones.
I listen to music and audiobooks a lot and my iphone’s battery is continuously drained. That’s why I decided on buying the stand-alone mp3-player. There aren’t many to chose from, though. Not very surprising since, as you say, most people use their smartphones and power banks.

My robot is finished. Works as intended but might have to take apart the gearbox which forms the base of the arm because it's making a noise in one direction then goes quiet in the other direction. I might do this when I feel in the mood to do this because putting this together was fun but a pain in some parts, especially the gearboxes.

HAL 9000 arrived today too and it's solid die cast metal. The end cap for the USB is one solid piece of metal too like the main body. Pics below. The USB came with an embossed badge of a space pod from 2001 as well.

Bought some comics today. Sixth volume of the German edition of the Ultraman manga, #15 of Austrian Super-Heroes, the German Civil War (Marvel) trade for my nephew's 13th birthday next week, and the first two volumes of the new European Conan the Cimmerian series.

Two things from the iTunes Store:

- An album called "Living in a Box", from the artist "Living in a Box", containing the hit single...wait for it..."Living in a Box".

I still have an iPod Classic. I use it in the car. (I do have an iPhone, but it doesn't have enough space for my music.)

I used to have an Archos tablety thingy. It was supposed to be a media player for music and video, had a 500gig storage and came with an embedded version of windows media player. It did sound nice with music but had shitty battery life, also was not the smallest thing to have but it functioned and did what it claimed to do. It was also very short lived as the hdd failed after only 2 years and was one of those small odd sizes you can't readily buy from a store.

Same here. Love it. I just use it inside. Gotta get it repaired, but it's a good player.

Bought a cheap PS3 controller, there is a game my wife wants to play on ours (Ni No Kuni), but my daughter took the original controllers when she moved.
