Your latest purchases, cont.

a huge slice of cheesecake with loads of berries :) Just got the results of my last diabetes checkup and they are so excellent that I can afford to occasionally get weak when a slice of cake winks at me, suicidally. :D
Good news on the check up, rhub!

My latest purchase: a cup of coffee from the cafeteria. Used my own cup to help reduce waste and got a discount, which made the coffee only slightly overpriced. ;)

^ they do shamelessly exploit people's most basic needs, don't they?

Picked up one of the robots I posted earlier. Large box, lots of parts, much fun? when I put it together. I think the hydraulic one is more complicated and from what I've read it's a pain in the butt as you have to fill the cylinders with water individually. But as a challenge I intend to get that one too later. Fun in question marks because sometimes the small parts frustrate me, but the enjoyment is in the making.

On Black Friday I bought a gaming laptop for my fiance as a Christmas present. His computer's fairly old and he desperately needs a new one. I wasn't planning on buying one or looking or anything, but I saw an amazing deal on Amazon and I just had to purchase it, so it arrived this week and I'll get it all wrapped up for him. I think it looks really nice and it's really quite big for a laptop, I hope he likes it, and as a bonus he can bring it over here and play games with me :)

Oh and my friend asked me to send her its information, I don't know how good this is really because I'm not at all super knowledgeable about computer hardware, but she says I got a good deal:

Durability - Dual fans with anti-dust technology. Red-backlit keyboard rated for 20-million keystroke durability
8GB DDR4 high-frequency 2666MHz RAM + 16GB Intel Optane Memory
1TB Optane enhanced HDD storage
8th Generation Intel Core i5-8300H processor (up to 3.9GHz) and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB for superior gaming performance and multitasking
Portable design with 0.98” thin profile and weight of only 5.07 lbs.

It sounds much better than the hunk of junk I'm using. How much was it on Black Friday?
