Your latest purchases, cont.

Paid for a Chinese buffet dinner with a good friend. It was a restaurant we hadn't yet been to together and we enjoyed the menu. They had spicy crawdads! Mmmmmm-MMMM!!!!

My wife bought me an Xbox One Elite controller.

I guess because I am an incredible lover!

Lunch at some greasy spoon.

Really wanted the Banana Longboat from the dessert menu, but the diet wouldn't allow it.

I mean, seriously, how epic and retro is this:

Hugo - look at those SAILS!!!

I got some old-school protein powder. I can't wait to shovel some into my greedy maw.

Kor

for $5 (for the library logo bag) I was allowed to stuff that bag with as many books as I could fit in it (13 today). This just applies to books from their donated and/or retired books shelves, but I made out like a bandit. I found older sf books and mysteries and books for my granddaughters in excellent condition.

Got a bunch of stuff today (from the public library's monthly sale):

Falling Skies Season 1 (DVD) ($4)

Books ($3 for all):
The Complete Sherlock Holmes
The Works of Charles Dickens
(Great Expectations/Hard Times/A Christmas Carol/A Tale of Two Cities) - I mostly got this to read ACC, plus its a very fancy looking copy in the style of an older book (shiny outer pages, fake leather-ish cover, book mark ribbon, etc).
The Girl with a Dragon Tattoo
Downbelow Station

Masterpieces of Fantasy and Enchantment
The Engines of God

(the last three books are all Sci Fi/Fantasy, I never heard of them but at 25 cents a piece these, and TGWTDT were worth getting)
