Not exactly off-topic, more anti-topic, but I was just looking through my credit card transactions for the last month, and realised I hadn't bought anything apart from petrol, parking, and food (OK some of the latter includes cafe, restaurant and bar bills, but still). I don't think that's ever happened to me before!
I wasn't even trying to cut back. Very weird. Maybe I've finally ascended to a higher spiritual plane?

Today I bought myself an iPad2
Hooray! I'm typing on one that I got very recently as a birthday present. I've wanted an iPad ever since they came out, but it seemed so extravagant that I didn't want to spend the money.
My parents bought this for me though, and it pretty much hasn't left my side!
The Prisoner (Blu-ray) for only $25, on sale at Amazon this week. This was a total impulse buy.

I got me a new phone for my Italian SIM, and am very happy with it. I decided to go for an Android (2.3 Gingerbread) this time. It's slightly more complicated than I expected in certain areas, but thoroughly enjoyable and quick as lightning. Add a 5Mp camera, a 512Mb Ram, SD memory upgradable to 32Gb, and b/g/n WiFi.
All in one of the most compact phones I've seen in a good while! It's positively tiny compared to pretty much anything else!

You'll be reassured to know that it's devilish hard to find a septet of trumpeters, so the 7th is staying locked for a good while yet.

The SuicideGirls coffee table book (got it dirt cheap, too!). I have to say, it's a bit bigger than what I thought it was going to be, but I am very pleased with it. 396 pages of full color photographs, no ads, no articles, no filler. Just beauty from edge to edge. Now I just need a coffee table to put under it.
