Your latest purchases, cont.

About £80 of groceries more than I’d expected, though there are school uniform items in there. And a lot of meat, and an elasticated bandage for my arm. And booze.

A thickness planer, some chunks of wood, a door lock template, some set screws, dowel screws, and hanger bolts. Oh, yeah, a package of knife edge jigsaw blades for cutting cardboard.

Groceries and dinner items along with four Black Series 6" action figures, two of which are retailer exclusives I didn't yet have and the other two being previously hard-to-find characters from Rogue One that are now being sold at Five Below stores for just $5.00 each. I remember when both of those figures were commanding pretty high prices on the secondary market and nearly impossible to find at brick-and-mortar retail.

New Miami Dolphins hat. It sits on my desk mocking me after the beating they took on Sunday.

I don't know how to post pictures here, I don't think.

Too bad! I love seeing people's personal art.

All you would really need to do is sign up for a free image hosting account (there are several around the 'net) in order to post them here, but I'll understand if you don't want to take the time. :)

Jean-Michel Jarre -Planet Jarre Deluxe Edition

Moving through 50 years of Jarre, There was a track on Youtube, Oxygene part 8, in a new version that pointed me to this CD, bought it after the track ended.

Speed controller for my single-speed router (power tool, not network device).

Way back when, I got some miniature saw blades that I'll be cutting that 5-1/2-inch-wide wood into 1-inch strips using my router. The thing is, I believe the normal speed of my router is 26,000 rpm while the blades have a 20,000 rpm max (or they'll explode in my face...not my desired effect).

Not sure if I've mentioned it, but I also got some 1.25-inch wood dowels that I'll be mounting to a slab of wood and stacking cut cardboard on (using my afore-mentioned knife-edge jigsaw blade) to make a stacked-cardboard cat scratching post.

I'll also be cutting short lengths off of both dowels for wall mounts (using previously-mentioned dowel screws) for a wall-mounted sisal scratching post for Willow to save what's left of the sheetrock next to one of my doorways.

Birthday Cake Candles. Last night the younger of my children picked out some balloon shaped candles at the shop, but I said no.

Please please please please, he pleaded, these are awesome. But I still said no. I had made my decision.

But please please please, he insisted, with a bit of a whine and much foot stamping. And I still no.

So he said, but why?

And I told him, these candles I have chosen, are Lego bricks.

The balloon candles fell to the floor like a brick without a moments thought. Yay! Lego candles, he screeched.

I bought Lego candles. True story.
