Breakfast at Syracuse Airport for my few hour trip to NYC. ETA: Rental Car. Have I stated how much I hate driving on Long Island. Between the aggressive driving and red light cameras, this place sucks. So glad I don't live here any longer. ETA 2: Lunch at Shake Shack, gas for rental car.
Tickets to Vacation last night, a Funko "Bored Kevin" Minion and spent about $60 at Goetta Fest here in Newport.
It's the only real way to get around. I had two different appointments at different parts of the Island.
The LIRR is good if you want to jump on and go to NYC or Citi-field. My first appointment was on the North Shore and my second on the South Shore. LIRR isn't really built for that, plus their was the time issue. Also I just really wanted to complain, driving on Long Island always sucked.
Chinese for dinner - orange chicken & bourbon chicken. Sidebar: I didn't buy them tonight, but the Toll House resealable bags of frozen cookies are one of the most awesome inventions ever. I'd much rather have freshly baked cookies, and now I don't have to bake a whole batch at once for just me. Monthly chocolate fix, here I come!
Doctor's visit, then a soda and chips for the drive to Mom's. Might end up staying as long as two weeks--depends on long it takes to organize the memorial service. Gotta go buy gas tomorrow; my tank is almost empty.
Two different kinds of anti-itching ointment, neither of which is working very well. (Went hiking Saturday and gotten eaten alive by chiggers. OMG, I've never itched this badly in my life! Actually, I did once. Visited Quebec in black fly season. But that was literally fifty years ago.) Yes, especially on the LIE!
