Your first thought in the morning

"What time is it?"

If it is after 6.00am I get up. If it is before 5am I go back to sleep. If it is between 5am and 6am I get annoyed. I don't like getting up before 6am as I get tired during the morning if I do. If I go back to sleep I might not wake back up to 8am or later which I also hate. My favourite time of the day is 6am to 8am.

The last 5 years I was working in aerospace, my first thought was always, “Shit! I hate my job and I hate going there.” Needless to say, when I went to a counselor and told him that, he was concerned. He put me off work for a month, during which time Hubby found out that he passed the State Boards (and decided he wanted to move to Fresno) and my boss accepted my volunteering for the newly-announced round of layoffs.

Dry food is so much easier to deal with. I never give my cat wet food.

Since you're not feeding her wet food, make sure she's drinking a lot of water. Cats who eat dry food are much more susceptible to serious urinary/kidney problems.

Oh, trust me, first thing she does after bugging me for food is jump on the bathroom sink and then stare at me until I turn on the faucet for her. This happens several times a day. She drinks plenty.

Good kitty!:bolian: Most of them aren't that interested in drinking water.

They're descendants of a desert animal, so they handle low water states pretty well. And our cat loves bathtub water above all else. Have you seen Bruce Fogle's 'The Encyclopedia of the Cat' it's a great book about cats and their pets.

She's only interested in water as it's flowing from the tap. She has no interest in drinking it from her bowl. I just wish she would learn how to turn the faucet off once she's finished because I will sometimes walk away and forget about it and then come back 5 hours later and find that it's been running the whole time.

I suppose something along the lines of: "Whew! Made it to another day." If I survive the day I know I'll be stronger the next.

My first thought usually goes something like:

"Euwwrrghhhh."

Actually, that pretty well describes my first six to eight thoughts of any given day. Which would explain why I have so much trouble getting to work on time in the mornings.

"This is the way the world ends."

Actually, I had been dreaming about giving a lecture on T.S. Eliot just before waking up.

Bleuaaarghh!?! DIE ALARM CLOCK DIE!! and after that curses and a bad mood for at least the next 2 hours, I do not like to wake up early...
