You know you're a Trekkie(er) when...

When you try to link new tech to ST when there is no connection:

- Antimatter @ CERN is Anti-hydrogen, not Anti-deuterium! No dilithium crystals to create electroplasma either!
- Austrian Teleportation is restricted to photons of light with no ability to transport items or beings at all!
- a 3D Printer is NOT based on a food replicator! Originally developed by USAF for aircraft components!
- the European battlefield language Translator and translation Apps are NOT a "Universal" type!
- NASA statement about warp technology was just a statement on future possibilities. Same as solar sails, nuclear propulsion, etc...
- the medical fluid speed injector is NOT a hypospray

Not to nit pick. But deuterium IS Hydrogen. It's a hydrogen atom with a neutron. Normal hydrogen only has one proton and one electron. It's also referred to as heavy hydrogen. And is naturally occurring in water. Usually sea water. Which makes the entire idea of deuterium miners on Enterprise ridiculous.

You know you're a Trekkie(er) when...
... You're in a survival situation and have taken along your entire TNG collection ...

Because you CAN'T live withOUT it ...!!!

When you type "Bo" and your phone suggests "Borg" as the completed word. And when you type "Seven" the next word suggested is "of", then the word suggested after that is Nine".

...when you constantly over think the science behind star trek and begin developing warp drive theories.

...and your physics professor has been doing the same for years! (as if I wasn't already a poor student without the distraction of warp drive theory)

...when you cheer like an alcohol-fueled soccer hooligan, or cry like a jilted lover, or throw your arms into the air in ecstatic glee - over some obscure shit in Star Trek....

John Kirk,

Please don't post so many times in a row. Either consolidate your thoughts into one post, or spread them out a little bit.

Thanks.

When you feel guilty because you didn't go some place boldly enough.

I wouldn't recommend doing this; but if you really want to boldly go where no man has gone before, you could try going into a public ladies restroom when you know someone's in there and ignore what anyone says about it being the wrong one to use. Like I said, this is not a good idea because you'd get in trouble with management for that and possibly arrested.

Here's another one that's a true story in my case.

If you get an ailment and think of it as some sort of trek illness. I had tendinitis while doing data entry, and it was shortly after I had seen the episode where Barclay thought he might have transporter psychosis where his wrist lit up.

God bless, Jason Irelan

You know you're a Trekkie when, every situation that you come across in real life reminds you of something from Star Trek.

Was this supposed to be funny?

A little bit, and I promise it won't happen again. You don't have to leave the post up if you don't want to.

That's okay. I think that the "bathroom issue" is so emotionally charged in America right now, it may have come across as meaning something different than you intended.

You know you're a Trekker when...
You see a story this weekend about the US Navy's newest high tech warship. The USS Zumwalt. And they include comments from it's CO. Captain James Kirk.

When you plan to watch the original airing of a TNG episode ("I, Borg") on your wedding night...
