Well turns out episode 9 was the finale, which feels like a weird length for a season of tv (season one was ten episodes, wasn't it?) The whole season felt a bit weirdly place: the first five episodes were really slow (did we need so much of Natalie in the cult?) and the last four had tons of stuff happening. I enjoyed it anyway, it's fun.
FINALE SPOLIERS
Did not see Natalie's death coming. I do have to say though that Sophie Thatcher has been excellent all season and I think she's already a better actress than Juliette Lewis (nothing against her, really, she's just a bit...cartoony?), so we're still going to get the best of Natalie in season 3.
Walter is either a complete genius or really incredibly lucky his insane plan worked. Did he research moustached cop and know he'd be exactly the kind of creepy it would be easy to manipulate in such a way? Seems unlikely!
I'm pleased they've completely moved away from the supernatural element. In season one I thought Lottie's visions were getting so perfect that it was becoming hard to explain them rationally, but in season two it's very much all just a belief system the girls invented for themselves. "It was just us."
I'm happy Jeff can go back Googling himself now.
