It's still hot as balls in the south.
It was a freezing 71F when I left work today. I was shivering a bit by the time I got the 3 blocks to the car, though I was wearing short sleeves, and did not have a jacket. Its nice to save a few bucks by turning the AC off at home though.
This has been the most temperate Summer I ever remember in Maryland, all around. I don't think we had more than a handful of days over 100, even considering the heat index, and it didn't really get consistently into the 90's until August. I didn't even have to turn my AC on until July! Weird.![]()
Same here but I'm up in NY.
^Yeah, it's been surprisingly mild up here (not sure where in NY you are) for most of the summer. Quite tolerable except for the middle two weeks this month, which were quite humid.
Woke up to 52 degrees this morning, I had all my windows open, was a little chilled. It is 56 right now and the high is only going to be 67 today with light rain and clouds. In fact it is going to be in the 60's all the way until Thursday when it breaks 70 degrees for the high then. When did fall get here?

Three more weeks of summer, people. Don't let Labor Day and back-to-school throw you off.

I also felt that glitch in the Matrix too. Sounds like the proud summer will be ending soon though, as always. There was a definite chill in the air yesterday, and walking around some of the college grounds I noticed a few trees were turning. I even had to throw on a waistcoat for a bit of added warmth for the first time.
Having said that, today is a return to balmy, sunny weather. Usually the first week of September is nice and sunny, with things finally turning permanently around the end of the second week. I suspect the pattern will hold this year too.

I live in D.C.... it's been uncomfortably warm and humid for a very long time.
