Wow did it turn fall all the sudden for anyone else?

But, but...butttttttttt what about all the rain we've had? 2 months of it (at least)...We've only had a few weeks of summer...,

I didn't mind the rain because it:
1. Kept the temps generally lower
2. Kept everything very green and lush well into August, when it would usually get brown and crispy.
3. It was good for canoeing/kayaking because all the water kept a nice current going in the rivers

It did suck in the sense that it was hard to mow the lawn, plus the rain kept it growing like mad!

OK that's the one good thing...I haven't had to water at all this year...but some of my plants are not doing well because of that very reason. Most are lush though...I had to mow the grass 3 times this year...usually I only have to do it once. I hear ya with the canoeing...I'm near the upper Delaware river and that baby is a movin. I have a friend in the Berkshires...you near there?

^I wish. I live in a town 20 mi from Boston that is the dictionary defintion of suburban sprawl. Berkshires would be nice.

It's definitely cooled down over the last couple days. At this point, I've pretty much given up on summer. We maybe had a couple days where it got up to 90, but that was as bad as it got. Pretty lame if you ask me. Bring on Fall!

After weeks of needing the AC, I'm quite happy about this weather I actually woke up slightly cold this morning, which was an awesome feeling. (I slept with my window fan on). Hopefully it stays around this temp, 'cause I don't want to be sitting in a school room that's 80+ degrees come Wednesday.

Not yet. It's still 104/40 here and hasn't rained anything measurable in four or five months.

Second that. We had a so-called "cold front' that put it all the way down to....94! :scream:

It'll still be hotter than hell here for several more weeks. And we still have not had a decent, soaking rain in quite some time.

Thank God for cooler weather! My rash I got from Iraq does not bother me as much when the weather is cooler and these past few days have been great! I hope we have a cold winter!

It was a freezing 71F when I left work today. I was shivering a bit by the time I got the 3 blocks to the car, though I was wearing short sleeves, and did not have a jacket. Its nice to save a few bucks by turning the AC off at home though.

This has been the most temperate Summer I ever remember in Maryland, all around. I don't think we had more than a handful of days over 100, even considering the heat index, and it didn't really get consistently into the 90's until August. I didn't even have to turn my AC on until July! Weird. :vulcan:

Same here but I'm up in NY.
