Would you watch a Titan series with Riker?

I would absolutely watch it, every week. Frakes still has the mojo, and I'd love to see Riker kicking alien ass and flirting with three-breasted space babes (with his wife looking on judgmentally). Throw in a Picard guest spot every season and it's a go.

It would bring excitement back into the 24th century. Riker had attitude to spare and threw a great punch. He needs to lose the gut though.

*yawn*

Just don't see it now. If they had spun Riker onto Voyager, they may have had something. Not like he was doing anything in the films anyway.

Yeah, I'd watch it without question.

New writers would probably be best, but I would have zero problems with Moore, Weddle & Thompson, Echevarria or Fuller returning. Hell, that actually would be a dream-team writing crew. (No Braga, please!)

Everyone who comes here would watch it, at least the pilot episode. Some won't admit that and they would be big fat liars. They would watch it, no doubt in my mind.

May be a way to get riker on the screen would be to start the series a year or so after the titan was blown up do to a mission that went bad. Riker and some of the crew survive and are rescued, In the investigation, Riker is cleared of any wrong doing and allowed to remain a captain. you could have several of his old surviving crew actually harbor resentment towards there captain and actually refuse to serve with him. In the pilot ep. you could actually have Riker going back to Picard and asking to be his XO again. but Picard insists that hes ready for his own command, and that we all make mistakes, whatever. anyway, Put Riker in command of a Miranda or a Constillation class ship, Instead of some state of the art ship. Make it a show about a man finding his place, his niche in the universe, but tell it through stories of exploration.

^ I find this a bit depressing. :( I'm not sure I want to watch him lose his ship and his confidence and the series start on a downer.

I'd watch a Titan series. Get some real scifi writers in on it, though, so we can have unique plots, situations, and actual character development. Get a bit of TOS-ness by stripping away the civilized, cosmopolitan-ness of space.
