Wost TNG film?

Which TNG film is the worst?

First Contact, followed by Nemesis. I kind of like Insurrection and Generations. Really, though, the series was vastly superior to the movies overall, IMO. But I do enjoy watching all of them from time to time.

Insurrection was practically all talk and no action, and what little action there was sucked. It really seemed to me as if nobody really cared about making a good movie, much less a good Trek movie.

I'd like to see less action and more talk in a trek movie. That's probably why I like TMP so much.

Nemesis by a galactic mile (2.6% longer than a country mile ;) )

Insurrection was uninspired but no worse than a lot of what the series produced.
Generations was pretty good; some good ideas, overly tied down by what the studio wanted the writers to do.
First contact was fantastic.

I agree. Circle gets the square.

My only gripe with Generations was that the Ent-D got destoyed by a BOP

My only gripe with GENERATIONS was that the Enterprise-D got destroyed period. If the TNG cast HAD to have a second Enterprise, why weren't they given the same respect that Kirk's guys got? In other words, a new ship identical to their first one? The Enterprise-E looks like a bloated Voyager, and like Voyager, is NOT an appealing design.

You don't like the Voyager design? :wtf:

Nah. Reminds me too much of a turttle.

Ugly, ugly ship.

It's never a sign when the suits decide to hand down a 'list of things' for a movie, which is what happened with GENERATIONS. From what the writers say, there was literally a checklist of things they had to shove into the plot as dictated by the studio. That wasn't the only problem, but it certainly didn't help.

nemesis is the cliche answer, but its true, it was the worst. only good part was janeway, but patrick is always amazing

Generaions was the worst, IMHO.
It had the whole TNG cast and Kirk and still it was so boring.

I wouldn't call FC worse than NEM. I'd say they're about even. At least I can sit through NEM without wanting to fall asleep.

I don't what what it is about FC, but I can't sit and watch the whole thing. It comes off as sleep-inducing for some reason.

They all basically had flaws and things that made me *facepalm and groan* and shake my head and sigh.

However NEM still takes the cake for me. It had the most potentional out of all of them (Icluding FC that also totally wasted what couldve been an awesome plot involving the return of the Borg) but it was like looking at a painting that just wasn't finished and was painted badly.

The TNG crew deserved a much better send off in my opinion.

NEM is still the worst, IMO, due to the poor choice in the writer (John Logan) and director (Stuart Baird), and sloppy editing that kept in all the kewl action but cut out more important character moments and story bits.

My vote goes to Nemesis. Yes, Insurrection played more as an extended episode of the series, but they did at least try to give every character something to do in the final cut. (Okay, Beverly might have been shafted somewhat, but she was at least in several scenes)

Nemesis, however, had the audacity to take a tagline of 'A generation's final voyage' and pretty much ignore most of them. Geordi and Beverly can both be removed from the finished product and NOTHING WOULD CHANGE. And Riker... After the wedding, what's his purpose? To fight the Reman viceroy in hand to hand combat. (And over a giant pit. I'll bet that serves SO many purposes on a starship...) Bits of character usage and development that take maybe five to fifteen seconds were cut and left on the floor, while ten minutes of 'action' sequences were left untouched. I don't know about anyone else, but when I think about TNG, action sequences are no where near the top of the list of things that drew me in. It was the intellectual sequences, the ones that made you think.

To me, Nemesis is not a Star Trek movie so much as an action movie set in the Star Trek universe.

Had to vote for Nemesis. At least Insurrection was good enough to warrant another TNG movie. What happened after Nemesis...? Yeah, that's what I thought. Thanks Nemesis.
