Offensive, JK, or not?

"Darmok" is one of my favorite episodes in all of Star Trek, but my enjoyment of it isn't predicated on the Tamarian language being either anything plausible or anything that needs fleshing out or fixing. The main point is that it is completely incomprehensible at first. Arguably, if the language did make sense, it would lose some of its aura of incomprehensibility that makes the sense of bewilderment a real thing that we can feel coming out of the story and share in.I do like Darmok, but I never did understand how an abstract stand-in phrase could cover all particular instances of that action. If you have to say the metaphorical phrase each time, how do you distinguish it for THIS time?
(Picard enters)
PICARD: Hail the Tamarian ship.
WORF: Aye, Captain.
TAMARIAN [on viewscreen]: Zinda! His face black, his eyes red
PICARD: Temarc! The river Temarc in winter.
TAMARIAN [on viewscreen]: Darmok?
PICARD: And Jalad. At Tanagra. Darmok and Jalad on the ocean.
TAMARIAN [on viewscreen]: Sokath, his eyes open!
PICARD: The beast at Tanagra. Uzani, his army. Shaka when the walls fell.
(Picard holds up Dathon's journal, and the Tamarians beam it away)
TAMARIAN [on viewscreen]: Picard and Dathon at El-Adrel. Mirab, with sails unfurled.
PICARD: (holds out the dagger) Temba, his arms open.
TAMARIAN [on viewscreen]: Temba at rest.
PICARD: Thank you.
DATA: Power has been restored, sir.

Season 7 seems to be the weakest link for every TNG-era show. DS9 edges out ahead of TNG and VOY's season 7 episodes because of the last 9 episodes of the season that closes out the Dominion War, but even those had some clunker elements to them. Other episodes in DS9's season 7 felt like filler or were just bad (Emperor's New Cloak).
The ride was still solid for both TNG and DS9 though. VOY's high watermark was reached in season 4-5. After Equinox, things were all down hill.
The Bonding
I regularly skip past those episodes if I'm doing a watch-through.
I don't believe I saw that one. I never liked Lwaxanas character, in any of her appearances.I really dislike "Cost Of Living."
This comes off as sexist, but pretty much any episode centered around Lwaxana, Deanna, or Crusher are some of the worst.
For me, many of the bland titles of forgettable episodes all sound the same. With lesser, unmemorable episodes, I tend not to remember the titles. A small hint as to the plot of these would help, please. Maybe it's just my problem. I know every TOS title by heart, no trouble, but there's just so much Trek now, so much of it blends together. I know I can Google. Don't bother to inform me of that. That makes a job out of something meant to be fun.
I can't believe someone doesn't like this one, I love it!
Everyone has their own tastes. I liked Inner Light for example
