Worst TNG Episode Ever?

There are several bad ones. It bums me out that so many people don't like The Inner Light, which is my favorite Trek episode. I understand the complaints but you can pick apart every little thing about all of Star Trek as being stupid or not making sense. Take that away from each episode and The Inner Light is great. It is one of the few pieces of fiction that ever gets much of an emotional response from me.

I've found Data's Day and In Theory to be the worst episodes of TNG as they are so boring to watch. Sure we get the O'Brien's wedding in DD, but otherwise I never really found the whole Romulan plotline was worth while as an "A" plot. Same with IT, Data's romance wasn't really "A" material.

Many episodes are bad but are still entertaining because they are so cheesy and goofy...then there's Imaginary Friend. It just takes itself soo seriously with the menacing monotoned 9 year old villain.

I think I mentioned up somewhere on the thread that I don't think it's a bad episode as far as acting and writing are concerned. I just don't care for that sort of episode where a character lives someone else's life or most of it takes place in a dream. To be honest I find them boring. I understand some people find this one quite moving but for me it's just down to personal taste.

Somebody actually disliked Data's Day? Loved that one. Here's my list.

STNG:

1. Shades of Gray
2. Emergence
3. Man of the People
4. Manhunt
5. The Loss
6. The Royale
7. Samaritan Snare
8. Haven
9. Rascals
10. Liaisons

I've no problem really with "Shades Of Gray", at least not now. Back when it first aired, it seemed a bit of a rip-off being mostly clips of other episodes.

But now that I've seen all of the episodes anyway, it's become a nice revisit to some Riker moments in the past. Since EVERY episode is a rerun, a clip show isn't so bad.

I don't like "Masks". Never did, never will. When I got the Blu-ray, I watched the first fifteen minutes or so and turned it off. I didn't want to go any farther. At least the opening of the episode has some normalcy about it. It's when things get strange that I have to bail.

I was never fond of "Fistful Of Datas" either, but I think I've mellowed on that one. And I cannot stand the Lwaxana Troi/Alexander hot-tub episode. In fact, I don't even remember the title.

I enjoyed Masks. I thought Genesis was good enough too.

The episode were a bunch of children including Wesley are kidnapped. Very tedious that one. Angel One episode is a dull, predictable episode.

That 2nd season episode were Picard and Wesley share a shuttle. Wesley gushes away in that one. Episodes, like that I don't like.

I find the Okona episode hard to watch. That other episode were Wesley consorts with that girl who turns into a grisly bear.. Yawn. Aquiel is another episode that just runs flat.

Some episodes fall into the category of being fair enough on first viewing but don't bear repeating.

The wormhole episode were Troi consorts with that oily negotiator. It's not that badly written or anything it's just that if I come across it, I've have no interest in watching it again.

The next 10 might be like this:

11. Code of Honor
12. Sub Rosa
13. Realm of Fear
14. Bloodlines
15. A Fistful of Datas
16. Angel One
17. Cost of Living
18. Justice
19. Interface
20. Howmeward

Other than the obvious Shades of Grey, I've never enjoyed the episodes where Troy has some sort of mental or emotional trauma or anguish..it just seemed so troubling to make this woman suffer over and over for the sake of "entertainment".
