What the hell was wrong with the refs last night, calling that one play safe (I think it was Jimmy Rollins, caught in the run-down between 3rd base and home) when even I could bloody well see he was out?![]()

I saw that as making up for the blown call in Game 3 at first and the "strikeout, wait no I meant to appeal to first, keep batting" and the time Jimmy was hit by a pitch but wasn't given first. About time one went the Phils way. What the hell was wrong with the refs last night, calling that one play safe (I think it was Jimmy Rollins, caught in the run-down between 3rd base and home) when even I could bloody well see he was out?![]()
How can they possibly keep playing when it's raining this hard?![]()
Yeah, I think so. And that pisses me off. They waited until the game got tied first.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to win a WS in a game cut short by rain. It's a bad situation. But still - the conditions were godawful for a while there, and they should have called it when the infield first turned into a giant mudbath instead of an inning and a half later. I mean, that's our best starter who now won't pitch tomorrow. And what happens if it isn't played tomorrow? Do we go to Tampa and come back to Philly later?
I'm glad none of the players got hurt- they should've called it earlier. Had it been a regular season game, I think it would have been called in the 4th. When it wasn't, I half expected it to be called after 5 1/2 innings. But that would've had too many folks (outside of Phliiy) up in arms. How can they possibly keep playing when it's raining this hard?![]()
