World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

I know. Potions last an hour and that damned cherry only lasts 5 minutes. I call it that damned cherry because I still have some in my bag from BC in case of emergencies. Which have never happened and will never happen.

You used to drown quicker in Azeroth, remember that?

Oh yeah, I do "miss" the days when we had to do underwater quests off the coast of Stranglethorn Vale/Wetlands/etc. in constant fear of drowning.

Druids had to do underwater quest stuff for their swimmy-swim form as well, hadn't they?

Wetlands was the worst. Drowned sooo many times, damn pirates.

I never played a druid but yeah, class quests were the norm. Do they even have them now?

If the quests are still in there (I don't think they are for the Druid? definitely not for the Shaman), they're 100% optional now.

A shame, really. I'm just glad I did all of them before they got removed/made irrelevant (including the epic mount quest for the WL and Paladin, both of which were really cool I thought).

Doncha know SPCTRE it isn't faaaaaaaaaaair if one class has to do something hard that another class gets away with, AWAY WITH!!! not doing.

Ah, the epic journey as a young nelf druid to get from teldrassil to the coast of Westfall in order to complete the swimming form quest. Before there were any convenient boats, flight points, portals, or mounts. Hours of running (on foot!) through higher level zones hoping not to aggro anything.

And yes, my hunter still has some nagrand cherries. "just in case".

Eh, as a warlock I never needed the cherries. I got a spell for that. Even a glyph to make it faster.

Patch 6.1 later today.

Last patch I was really excited about was 1.10 (priest class revamp). Oh, and when they first introduced weather. No more 10-man Strath and no more 15-man UBRS was a bit of a bummer, though.

Wow, that was nine years ago.

I'm not even paying attention. I must escape these damn garrisons and get out in the world again. Maybe I'll just go lvl my pandaboy, finally.

I tend to do Garrison stuff for mayby a half hour then fly out to Nagrand and work my way back by land. Cutting trees as I go, over course. If I had a barn I'd be in Nagrand even more.

They really messed up when they decided that you couldn't have a Garrison anywhere on Draenor. :( I think that was the initial selling points. Ugh.

They realized that if they wanted to keep a moving plot, the garrison had to be the first zone you settle in. Where they setup outposts for you later on are the other garrison spots they had picked. I doubt they could have managed to have use settle anyplace we wanted in Draenor. The idea of allowing us to play RTS in MMPRPG would be all over the place. Trolling garrisons in Shatt? Setup shop right outside Highmaul? Demo the Horde camp and setup an Alliance Garrison in Frostridge?

My sole belf, a bank alt, now has a waist like Barbie. I am super sad about this.

OMG to pick where your garrison is would have been sweet. And not make a lot of sense since I would have a freezing snow covered garrison in sunny Nagrand

Remember when Blizzard decided to beef up the male belfs during the TBC beta because a certain portion of the playerbase felt uncomfortable playing male character models that looked less than on steroids? ;)

I'm SO MAD that if I hadn't named my bank alt after a Romulan princess I would turn her into something else. Yes.

They did not need this.

Okay maybe the faces are improved, I haven't looked at that. Mine is wearing Ruby Shades so it's irrelevant.
