World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

Last two expansions have been fine. CATA was a bit of a let down outside of the questing chains and revamp of the old world. End Game just wasn't fun at all in CATA. End Game in MoP and so far in WoD have been fun and interesting. MoP's problems was eventually the massive number of dailies you could do (and sometimes felt like you had to do to get rep), but this was only because they dropped the limit on dailies they had back in WRATH,

IN WoD could do the Inn dailies, but I really don't. So I generally only do two dailies, the Apexis one and the fishing daily (which right now is really easy since I went for the fishing achievement to unlock the Level 3 shack and Nat Pagle....I got lots of fish in the bank and use them to get some exta gold and Primals). I can go do some of the same kind of stuff I did in TBC, run around Nagrand for materials, hunt game, and slaughter ogres.

I wonder what my total tally for talbuk termination is? First there was all the Nesingwary on multiple chars back in BC times and now I have ground Steamwheedle rep to exalted 99% on talbuks.

I am doing well at not doing things that are dull (yes I realize the above sounds dull but I am at heart a rep grinder).

My WoW goal is to be exalted with everything except Bloodsail which would take my rep of goblin factions down under exalted. I enjoy working on this pointless goal  The worst one will be Warsong Outriders, have not even started it.

NO FUCK THAT

Seriously those things are disgusting they give me mega creeps.

The girls with their little chihuahua heads, the lurching, the SNIFFING.. and not being able to get the words "humping" and "leg" out of my head every time I see them.

They are just gross.

I feel like I haven't seen one for weeks. I wonder how popular they are.

Bloodsail at least gives you a silly hat. I remember people going for that stuff ten years ago. They were... different.

Well, you have to be kind of different to go for an incredibly tedious and leeeeeeeengthy rep grind to get a (mostly gimmick-y) cool looking admiral's hat :D

ETA: Although I do remember some people who were hardcore into PvP going for it to give their premade an extra edge with that +stam buff.

You get that hat at honoured I think, it is pretty easy. It's exalted that is hard as there is one single thing to kill, as in one individual. At least that is how it used to be.

I'm currently at 62 reps exalted but I am doing the panda ones now having skipped mop. So it should 70 without too much effort.

I also estimate that it will take three more runs to be exalted with Hydraxian Waterlords, an utterly useless rep which makes it even better IMO.

^ Oh, so you're insane, okay nvm :D;)

Don't forget Ravenholdt and Syndicate rep, if you're into pointless :D

Yes I am "the Insane" and it's my proudest WoW accomplishment. In Wotlk, pre-nerf (Blizz removed an ENTIRE rep from the game, just wiped 'em out! They gave us a FoS for doing it, they really don't understand.)

My proudest WoW accomplishment other than the drama group that did art installations all with lvl 1's but that's another story.

Oh and yes I have Ravenholdt exalted, that's a no brainer. Syndicate is apparently not able to get above neutral. So, not bothering with that obviously.

I actually want to go back with new toons and just experience everything fresh. I want lvl each class without skipping stuff and get all the reps. Someday. :)

If I never see the Barrens again I'll be perfectly happy

I just did the goblin starting zone again, while good it goes on foreeeeeeeeever. And I also finally did the whole panda zone, was meh about it. Still feel like the CIVIL WAR the pandas were manipulated into destroying their zen with is just ignored, you can hear it in the background as it develops but none of them seem upset about it?

My favorite starting zone was always the dwarfs.

Well, the Barrens aren't what they used to be.

Back In My Day(TM), it was a ridiculously large zone designed for players that had no means of increased movement speed with quests that mostly involved traversing vast distances very, very slowly back and forth. Not even the silly shaman ghost wolf or druid travel form was available in that level range. It was glorious(ly bad).

Now it's two smaller zones that offer at least one flight path for every quest NPC and players get access to 150% mounts for free at level 5.

Also, Barrens chat is dead :(

Barrens chat isn't dead, it just changed zones. (Jade Forest seemed like Barrens chat for a little while)

The Alliance didn't have a zone like the Barrens. Instead of funneling three races into a single zone, with sometimes the other one (later two) coming over because the quests said go there, the Alliance had the Night Elves running around Darkshore while the other shifted between Lock Modan, Westfall, Redridge, and Darkshire. Instead we eventually got things like that in the expansion starting zones, or sometimes in trade chat.

I did go to the Barrens at level 20 as a Alliance warlock. I was scared because all I know was it was Horde territory. No idea how the land was or if there were lots of patrols (it was a PVE server, so I didn't have to worry about PVP much). My mistake was going via Duskwillow Marsh instead of Darkshore. A level 20 in a level 35 zone. Everything was a ??? and could three shot me. I also made the mistake of running into the one place that can tag an Alliance player for PVP in the zone. Fightng the rebel/traitorous guards near the end of the string of towers flags you for PVP. I didn't notice that since they killed me quickly as a ran past. When I respawned and ran back I saw a flaming horse with a Blood Elf on it with ??? on the road near there (I think he was waiting for Jaina to spawn in an effort to kill her outside the Tower). He two shot me. I didn't even realize it was Horde until I went back there leveling later on. Eventually I got to the Barrens and wondered around. Got killed by guards near the southern town as I got too close trying to figure out were my quest giver was. Eventually saw a few Alliance players in the distance off the road, followed them to the a tree where my quest giver was. Got the quest, wondered north though the then unexplored Forests, did my quest, and Hearthed back to Westfall. I didn't know were the nearest why back was at the time, and I didn't want to wonder north though more uncharted forest (would have been easy as Darkshore is a lower level zone), and I certainly didn't want to head back through to Thermoore or face the dreaded Booty Bay. Got my damn demon though and later went back and wrecked those places for Loremaster (both pre and post CATA)
