I think a lot of people forget that we very nearly did get jump right to a JL film back in 2007-08, with the Mad Max series director George Miller's Justice League: Mortal. They had a script and a cast, with DJ Carona as Superman, Armie Hammer as Batman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul, Common as Green Lantern, Adam Brody as The Flash, and Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord.

Let me just let that sink in for a second: Jay Baruchel as Max Lord?

We missed out on that?
