So glad Sony has Spiderverse, since they made a better movie than most of the Marvel flicks.
Oh, to be sure. The MCU's Spidey-Lad was nothing distinctive for the character. He was just there just to say he was a part of the MCU, and had none of the individual life the comic source had.
Oh, please. They didn't rush anything. JL was the DCEU's 5th film. The Avengers was Marvel's 6th.
Agreed, but notice how some gloss over that, when the MCU could be accused of rushing to their 1st loud, cartoony group film.
Marvel's works because they found a formula that they could repeat over and over again for their prime audience, middleschoolers
..and formulaic most of them were/are, with plots that would easily fit into the Power Rangers. Sort of funny that in addition to the great Captain America movies (well, part of Civil War), Disney/Marvel's best adaptations were on TV with Daredevil, The Punisher and Luke Cage--all were superior at capturing the heart of their source than most MCU films, and they were mature productions.
Some adults who find themselves attracted to entertainment targeted at a family audience do seem to like to label anything more challenging than "All-Ages" works in whatever negative term sounds cool to them at the given moment. 'Edgelord' is a particularly popular catch-all phrase to label people who aren't just interested in unchallenging entertainment
Its an immature slur used by those--in no surprise--are die-hard supporters of content that can be rather silly.
.
I find labeling people who enjoy art that challenges in ways them in ways that family entertainment does not with such toxic terms to be rather antisocial in intent.
True.
