Will SGU be leaked?

Do you think the premier of SGU will be "leaked" ? It has happened before with Atlantis, a lot. As highly anticipated as this new series is, I think it could be leaked. The question is, will it be finished or not, i.e. with visual effects, and will it hurt or help the series or viewership if it is leaked?

I honestly dont think people care enough about this show to want the leaked copy.
Im a big Stargate fan but i wont waste my time on a show that has a character commit suicide.

Sorry life is dark enough, i dont need tv shows to follow.

Is SGU not meant to be a show that reflects and comments on our own society here on Earth by bottling a large group of characters onboard the Destiny? As a result, would it not be appropriate for some storylines to reflect darker aspects of human nature - such as suicide?

Personally, as much as I miss SG-1 and Atlantis, I am looking forward to SGU for this reason.

Andrew.

Under that logic you should never ever watch SG-1.

Undoubtedly. If there are press screeners, this thing is getting out.
Hell, I still don't know how that SG movie got leaked the way it did.

It's definitely getting out. The only way they'll be able to cut off the bad press is by releasing the pilot and hoping people like it. Actually, I'm surprised they're not following Universal's lead with Caprica and going for a cash-in with the pilot episode well before the series starts airing.

Unless they want to put the first two eps. together I can't see them selling only the first ep.

OK, they're airing the first eps. together on the first night and the third ep. the following week.

I wonder, do you think they would ever "purposefully" leak it, to see viewers impressions before it airs, ya know, leak it on purpose, and then read up on forums of viewers feedback, to gauge how it might do

That is possible. The could also publicly stream it online before the premiere for only a short period to see how people react as well.

On a related note, was there any update of the Wolverine leak a few months back? I knew they were investigating it. I have a feeling in the back of my head that that was an intentional studio leak. Don't know why. Just a feeling.

What's the point? If it goes bad then it goes bad, it's not like they will change things now, the first 10ish episodes are probably already done.

Knowing the geniuses at the SciFi (Syfy - Imagine lamer) channel, they'll probably accidentally show an entire episode as a trailer.

Until they find the asshole who has been leaking the episodes and movies, then more will be leaked.

While I kind of understand that you want escapism in your TV shows, I'd much rather have a show where people react realistically to a scenario like that presented in SGU than anotehr Atlantis where they all settle down pretty quickly to exploring, sharing one liners and reading War and Peace. If they're going to do 'lost in space', they should accept the character things that accompany that, and despair is probably the biggest.
