The sad part is when the day does come and Kurtzman steps down from running Star Trek (likely of his own accord) all these blowhards are going to be all "SEE? I told you this would happen!"

I was ambivalent towards him as he was just "doing his job" but his recent interviews, Section 31, hiring wall to wall mediocre writers with no background or chops, . Meanwhile you have people like Ron D Moore who'd love another shot at Star Trek or Matalas begging to do a show being snapped up left right and center to do shows.

I highly doubt Ron Moore would be willing to do Star Trek at this point in his career. Not unless he were given carte blanche to do whatever he wanted, which even if he were to replace Kurtzman as head of the franchise, Paramount would not grant him that.
Oh, did I just remind you of the inconvenient truth that everything that has gone on in the Star Trek franchise the past seven years which you blame Kurtzman for has been done with Paramount's blessing? And make no mistake, if anyone at Paramount actually believed current Star Trek is the failure your crowd keep insisting it is, Kurtzman would have been gone long before now.
Well, that's just it. Matalas is currently working on two other shows and a movie, so even if there were an interest to do Star Trek Legacy, he wouldn't have time to do it anyway.

I heard he was just waiting until Kurtzman was fired then shot in to orbit so he could assume the throne.
I kinda hope he renews his contract with the studio to continue running the overall franchise not just because he's doing an overall good job, but purely to spite all these hateful bastards that need to get a life.

He isn't going to sit around waiting for Kurtzman's latest projects to fail when he has multiple big studios with high profile projects knocking on the door.

No way man! They slipped the guard a $50 and snuck on to the Paramount lot to film that stuff guerilla style. Kurtzman had no clue! Now he's stuck with it!
Maybe if we just stopped responding to people who are clearly just fishing for attention they would just go away.
