Just empty space with zero matter of any kind I'd imagine.Nothing beyond it, meaning just space or Black Matter?
There is nothing; just space.Nothing beyond it, meaning just space or Black Matter?
Maybe not even space?Nothing beyond it, meaning just space or Black Matter?
Maybe not even space?
But in this case, i wonder what the glowing objects are. Looks a bit like the spores in DSC.
There's nothing there. That's why it's an edge.. of something vs nothing, and in an expanding universe even more theoretical. I know Star Trek physics are mostly just malleable fanasy-plot-points but unless they want to embrace the idea of Hubble-spheres abutting other somewhat different Hubble spheres, i don't see what they could do with it. They havent' really even properly spent time in anothe galaxy yet.Think that's why the place has a lot of potential for a lot of fascinating episodes. You could do so much in and with this location.
We've seen space-born aliens in "Galaxy's Child", I wouldn't doubt there's many in Messier 33.Maybe not even space?

I do find it interesting that the edge of the universe basically looks like a giant bubble bath.
Bubble baths are supposed to be soothing. Maybe that is where everyone goes when they die... to the edge of the universe in an eternal bubble bath.
Earl Grey-scented!I do find it interesting that the edge of the universe basically looks like a giant bubble bath.

It's easy to be tough from the point of view of our armchairs!Still looks scary to me, you guys are just too tough to be scared of the unknown.

Land of creation, the edge is still expanding and still being created. The edge of another dimension
What if in the end of the universe another universe begins?
Boy you know your Galactus origins and Yog Sothoth too!

"Is There in Truth No Beauty?" has the TOS Enterprise going to a weird-looking space outside the galaxy that Kirk refers to as an "unknown void" and that Spock calls "a spacetime continuum" that is " far outside our own galaxy" and that lacks "traceable reference points," that they entered after exceeding warp 9.5.
I'd posit that this void and where the Ent-D ends up in WNOHGB could be similar in some way.
Sorry but I may have to google those....
I think I'm familiar with the word Galactus but that's it, I don't know anything more about it.
And Yog Sothoth, what's that. =).
No probs. Galactus is the Godlike entity that feeds upon planets in the Marvel universe. He was first seen in Fantastic Four #48 as a giant being who comes to earth in need of hunger using the Silver Surfer to find and identify said worlds upon which he can change into energy before feasting upon!
Yog-Sothoth is a cosmic entity created by H.P. Lovecraft that comes from the universe before ours existed and has total mastery of time and space in the continuums! He is part of the Cthulhu mythos!
