Why didn't the crew start calling Seven 'Annika'?

I remember watching something, an unofficial commentary, possibly text inside popups, where an ultra feminist perspective insisting that Lenore was the sexual predator stalking Kirk... Which is sorta what happened?

That colony was tiny. Jim, Lenore and Kevin should have been playing together as children, or really, should have had very explicit reasons not to play with each other.

Imagine how different that all would have played out if contextually only she remembered that they'd played doctor or got baked together as teenagers?

(Or did Kirk have a decade on her? But she couldn't have been much younger than kevin?)

If the first line is "Once upon a midnight dreary", I'll pass.
That's Edgar Allen Poe, not Shakespeare.

Lenore was said to be 19 years old in the episode, which would mean she was born approximately a year after Kodos committed mass murder of the colonists. Kevin would have to have been at least 5-6 years older than her, since he remembers the murders (plus as a Lieutenant, he's probably older than the 22 years Ensign Chekov claims).

The key word was "Lenore". If you'd mentioned that, it would have been a tie.

Forgive me for thinking that most people would automatically connect a reference to Edgar Allen Poe with Lenore.

I never would have brought it up except for Gov Kodos mentioning Lenore, and Poe was the first thing I thought of after "Conscience of the King". But fortunately, most people's brains are wired better than mine. But don't worry, Kodos doesn't even get a half point for the inspiration, since he killed all those people.

I'm now reading "How Much for Just the Planet?" because I couldn't find the Crispin book in my 2 second ferret through my old TOS stuff and I did find that. It is hilarious.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

I'd love to see an explanation for what happened to the Organian Treaty.

:)

That one should have been turned into a real operetta and performed.
