Anecdote: I saw it late in the run in Australia at a local cinema, mid week, and the cinema was about 3/4 full, which surprised me. IOW, I think people picked it up late, mainly through word of mouth. Hopefully this is a trend elsewhere.
What I mean is they saw the commercials and were meh, but then heard from people that saw it was it was worth it.
How could they have missed the commercials?

Of the four reviews I saw in Australia, three were mediocre and the one positive one portrayed it as being nothing like the last two (which were quite popular here). It may be that they put some people off.
