Isn't it interesting how the males respond to the scene and how the women here respond? An amateur psychologist would have a field day with this thread.

Gaila isn't offended; in fact, she was probably putting him on. That funny exchange about how many guys she had in the room and stuffing Kirk under the bed is a good indication. Kirk wasn't worried about what she said; it wasn't significant. He's thinking about the Kobayashi Maru; and when Uhura discovers Kirk, the test is the first thing she brings up.
