What's the issue with the 24th century 'bozos'?
The 24th century Klingons reminded me mostly of rejects from 80's hair metal bands. I find it tough to take most of them seriously.

If it's the hair/look that offends you, what's with all the love for the film klingons? They looked the same as the 24th century characters.

It's not just the look in and of itself (though there actually were noticeable differences, mainly in the forehead ridges and the teeth)... it's their whole demeanor.
The Klingons in the films are cunning and formidable. You could actually see them as successors to the ruthless Klingons of TOS.
The 24th century bozos were a bunch of backwards, clownish morons with 75 IQ points, who endlessly spouted about "honor," took knives to gunfights, and could probably never even make it out into space in the first place.
