Captain Kruge/Doc Brown/Jim Ignatowski was the best, and if you're old enough to know all three of those characters, you'll probably agree.

Martok represented Klingons at their best to me, followed closely by Kor. (maybe a little odd, considering how much the former disliked the latter). And Worf is one of my favorite characters in all of Trek, although sometimes the more Klingon-focused eps of TNG and later DS9 wore a little thin.

BTW, I recently ordered the Klingon Fan Collective DVD set, currently on special at Amazon UK for £4.31!

I like all the 24th century Klingons.
And the ones who offended Kirk via Scotty in the tribbles episode. :klingon: :klingon:

But I voted for Gorkon. He was great in TUC. By way of the Vanguard novels we learn to know a younger Gorkon. :klingon:

What's the issue with the 24th century 'bozos'?

The 24th century Klingons reminded me mostly of rejects from 80's hair metal bands. I find it tough to take most of them seriously.

If it's the hair/look that offends you, what's with all the love for the film klingons? They looked the same as the 24th century characters.

It's not just the look in and of itself (though there actually were noticeable differences, mainly in the forehead ridges and the teeth)... it's their whole demeanor.

The Klingons in the films are cunning and formidable. You could actually see them as successors to the ruthless Klingons of TOS.

The 24th century bozos were a bunch of backwards, clownish morons with 75 IQ points, who endlessly spouted about "honor," took knives to gunfights, and could probably never even make it out into space in the first place.

You do know Kor lived in the 24th century too, right?

Kruge was a great Klingon! He had a lot of cool accessories, as well, like the first BoP and a Klingon dog that actually looked badassed. Not like the ridiculous targs that followed. I thought Michael Dorn delivered a great performance as a Klingon. I think he really commanded the part of Worf very well. There was a lot of coolness to be cherry-picked from his backstory and adventures he went through, but for the most part ... it was overkill and the Klingons, in general, kind of became absurd during his tenure, especially on DS9. But before that even, it was like ... enough with the Klingons, already. I liked it a lot better when we didn't "know" who they "really" were ...
