Okay, this thread is a mess. First someone puts a Future Guy possible in spoiler tags. And then a second guy, and I can't tell if it's a serious guess or not. But then several of you plunge into deep what-if discussion with descriptions and situations and details piling up like snowdrifts, making it easier and easier to be spoiled about this supposed mystery guy. Then someone describes the fame level of the actor who plays the dude. Then someone fricking NAMES THE ACTOR. Then a bunch of you just stop putting the character names in spoiler tags, and here we are now, with about 50 posts covered in spoiler tags, because I have NO IDEA how much you've given away, because I haven't watched Disco, and I'm one of those silly people who doesn't like to be spoiled.
We're not a full 6 months out from Disco Season 3, so the spoiler rule was in effect, but who cares now, right? This isn't even an ENT thread anymore, that ended about 30 posts ago.
ETA:
Ah, sleep is a wonderful thing. So I'm thinking this morning that the real question is, was putting Kovich in spoiler tags originally, doing a service for Disco and ENT viewers because it was a legit educated guess and could have impacted fans' viewing experience if/when Future Guy was revealed? In that case, a bunch of you deserve warnings for dropping the spoiler tags you yourselves initiated in the first place, along with giving away the character's identity with all those obvious hints beforehand.
OR
is this just the same guesswork speculation ENT viewers have been doing for years, not really spoiler-worthy at all, but you MIS-used spoiler tags for shits and giggles and just dropped them when it got to be too much of a pain, and the moderator doesn't know any better cuz she doesn't watch Disco, so she unfortunately took the spoilers seriously? In which case you should all be slapped around for treating the spoiler tool like a fun toy, which it is definitely not.
Some additional information from y'all will really help the goal of repairing the thread. Or we just close the poor thing and label this a messy teachable moment. Thanks!
