Bond villains at least have the common decency to treat you to a full course dinner before they try to laser beam you in the crotch or feed you to the sharks. In my day, being a proper villain meant something. There was a code.

That is very true ..

Also in the old days the villains would tell you their whole plan

Before when Hillary was certain to win people were predicting riots from horrible Trump supporters. And look what's happening now in Portland.. rioting from people not accepting the results. Two sides of the same coin.

All this stuff about Trumps side being scary people and nothing about that or the video of the 50 year old guy getting dragged out his car, beaten up and yelled at that he voted Trump?

Not these days...

"Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars. I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it. You know, I just... do things The mob has plans, the cops have plans, Gordon's got plans. You know, they're schemers. Schemers trying to control their little worlds. I'm not a schemer. I try to show the schemers how pathetic their attempts to control things really are."

"So, when I say... Ah, come here. When I say that you and your girlfriend was nothing personal, you know that I'm telling the truth. It's the schemers that put you where you are. You were a schemer, you had plans, and look where that got you. I just did what I do best. I took your little plan and I turned it on itself. Look what I did to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets. Hmmm? You know... You know what I've noticed? Nobody panics when things go "according to plan." Even if the plan is horrifying! If, tomorrow, I tell the press that, like, a gang banger will get shot, or a truckload of soldiers will be blown up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan." But when I say that one little old mayor will die, well then everyone loses their minds!"

"Introduce a little anarchy. Upset the established order, and everything becomes chaos. I'm an agent of chaos. Oh, and you know the thing about chaos? It's fair!"

- Joker

On the plus side, Trump has said some clear and rational things that I think a lot of us might agree with...

"The electoral college is a disaster for a democracy. We can't let this happen. We should march on Washington and stop this travesty. Our nation is totally divided!"

"He lost the popular vote by a lot and won the election. We should have a revolution in this country!"

- President-elect Trump

I posted a list of people he's potentially nominating to run the country, so why would I then include totally unrelated examples of public protests? I also didn't include pictures of race cars, so congratulations on exposing my race car concealing agenda.

But you know, now that you mention it:

Day One in Trump's America

Video catches students shouting ‘white power’ while marching with Trump sign at Pennsylvania school

Trump fans film themselves driving through women’s college and harassing black students

Trump SCOTUS pick William Pryor would have let states jail LGBT people for having sex in their homes

This is precisely the kind of shit people are protesting and are so afraid of. And no, it's not all Trump supporters behind this racist and sexist crap, but it's not an insignificant amount, and until Trump supporters own that shit and start to fight against it instead of just being defensive about it, the country is only going to get more and more divided and tense. Because the man up top is not nominating people who are looking to heal that divide. Joe Arpaio, Rudy Guiliani, David Clarke, William Pryor, and their ilk are not the healing type. They're bigoted authoritarians who will trample on your rights if you're a minority, LGBT, a woman, Muslim. or Latino. And if you're not, I'd bet you have someone in your family or circle of friends who is. So this affects you or someone you care about, even if you just voted for Trump as an agent of change or if you wanted him to magically bring back manufacturing and coal jobs that no longer exist.

My comment was towards the thread in general and not your post specifically, but countering it with more disturbing incidents is missing the point. Do you believe violent protests and disturbing attacks are a good thing because now they align with one side over the other?

Shouldn't we have the same expectation for the other side to condemn that behavior because right now I don't really see it.

Well, maybe Trump will improve quality of life for the average American. You never know.
Does he plan to increase funding on education, infrastructure, decent employment laws, decent medical system, decent housing system? If not then how will the 'average American' improve their quality of life if there is no one around to pay for it? If there is no state, federal or not enough money in the pot cos wealthy people like Mr Trump have no desire to pay their taxes then improvement on quality of life for the average American (and btw who is the average American?) is a dream.

You poor little snowflakes. To quote Obama: “I won, deal with it”.

The Democrat Party lost 900 seats in the 2010 election. In 2014, the next set of midterms, the Democrats lost another 700 seats. We have been governed by a minority with the illusion by the elite media that they are the majority. We are tired of being called racists, homophobe, islamophobe, religious fanatics, and the uneducated by people who hate America, the elite media, idiot Hollywood actors, and people who disagree with us.

Hillary had to steal her own nomination from Bernie Sanders. They nominated a criminal pathological liar with zero charisma who has made a mess of everything she has touched. A few in the press get it but dammed few and even less of the spoiled intolerant Hillary supporters do. This is fine with me as they have over played their hand and now it's their time to wonder in the wilderness. I say no reaching "across" the isle. Bury them while they are down.

The end of Obamacare

The end of the unrestricted murder of the unborn

The end of criminal illegal aliens murdering our citizens and hiding out in sanctuary cities

The end of the war on American Energy

The end of suing nuns over birth control

The end of murdering the police

The end of forcing schools to have boys in girls showers

The end of Global warming BS

I could go on but you get the point.

Isn't part of the problem is that we as consumers want to pay the lowest possible price and yet as a worker want the highest possible wage. If wages go up, prices can often follow as buisnesses try and recoup some of the costs in paying its workers more.

There is no simply answer to the ever increasing globalisation world in which we live.

And that is the problem we want Bangledeshi prices with Western wages and standard of living... Good luck with that!

Even the establishment Republicans don't like him, which is a huge plus IMHO. I'm tired of electing folks into office and then having them not do what they said they were going to do. He's an outsider, and quite honestly the movement is larger than him, so taking shots at him does nothing to diminish my support.

Oh, and the arrogant douche-bags in the main stream media telling me how to think just reinforces my support :techman:
Must be nice to be in the same bed as the KKK - happy orgasm to ya!

In before this thread is inevitably locked.

I find it incredibly disturbing that Trump people are being openly racist, etc. after the election. Trump needs to put the cork back on the bottle. Or at least try. If he doesn't at least try, he's a piece of crap. But I suppose he figures it's not his problem for another 2 months.

The anti-Trump protests that have become violent....that is incredibly stupid, and sad. Protest, by all means, but do it peacefully. Don't be idiots and turn riotous over this. Trump is a radioactive orange, diseased piece of slime, but people need to prove that they are better than him. Behave civilly.

I remember that too. On inauguration day look for a repeat of 2000, when angry dems stopped traffic and pelted the presidential limo with eggs. Always a classy bunch when things dont go their way.

Both sides are being ugly. Rioting and stupidity from Clinton supporters needs to immediately cease. Trump supporters acting like giddy Hitler Youth and KKK members from 1868 needs to end.

I don't support rioting, but protests, absolutely.

I remember all the protests after Obama won. I'm not gonna hear how everyone else just needs to shut up and accept the results, because there are people like this out there:

You poor little snowflakes. To quote Obama: “I won, deal with it”.

The culture war isn't over, and it is you who will be buried, no matter what setbacks we have in the meantime.
