Later DS9
I can't unsee Space Mounties.I'm odd, I think the monster maroons and the FC/DS9 to be among the worst.
I use to be a fan, but after examining them in detail for costuming research I realized just how much they didn't make sense. They didn't track well with the rest of the Starfleet design language as a daily functioning uniform, as well as having rather odd ranking that was difficult to read.I'm odd, I think the monster maroons and the FC/DS9 to be among the worst.
No the ranks were actually pretty easy once you did some research well that’s for me I tend to notice Details pretty wellI use to be a fan, but after examining them in detail for costuming research I realized just how much they didn't make sense. Really I don’t see it and my mothers a flight attendant. It looks perfectly fine maybe one or two modificationsThey unfortunately had the worst dress uniforms.

Seats and tray tables up. We'll be coming in for landing soon.
Well at least they didn’t look like tracksuits. I mean they could’ve tried harder and not make a uniform basically based off of a tracksuit. Don’t give me started on the boots. On the bright side at least they are better than the cage uniforms because they actually show your rank if you are ens-Cmdr and admiral and kor the tie is classy and at least the tile looks better than some Klingon rigesDon't worry, current Trek is all about reimagining everything. Pike's Enterprise, the TOS uniforms, the Klingons all look totally different. They won't ditch all that and then keep some fugly alternate-future costumes from Next Gen and Voyager.
Yes, but I shouldn't have to research a rank insignia to know it. It should be visibly identifiable quickly. That's the point of a rank insignia. No the ranks were actually pretty easy once you did some research well that’s for me I tend to notice Details pretty well
Yes but once when you research it you get used to it in the sticks in your brain. At first I didn’t understand them either but after I research it didn’t take very long for it to stick into my brain. At least it isn’t tiny like future ones.Yes, but I shouldn't have to research a rank insignia to know it. It should be visibly identifiable quickly. That's the point of a rank insignia.
No, but the enlisted rates are not easily identifiable from a distance, due to being the small insignia on wrist of the uniform.Yes but once when you research it you get used to it in the sticks in your brain. Uh no those 70’s flight attendants uniforms are wore and when I saw archer in his dress uniform I distinctly remember it was in one piece. Remember what’s on thatI guess I find the ENT uniforms amusing because they just don’t seem very formal. As others have noted, those uniforms are cool partly because they seem quite practical, much like what a modern astronaut might wear. You'd expect dress uniform to feel a little fancier, but instead it’s this strange upgraded overall. To me, it looks a little like a really bad 70s flight attendant uniform.
