I'm going to be honesn, I never really noticed it until the first pictures of Pike started showing up.I have as well save for the collar. I don't know why but it just sticks out to me.

Someone help him, he clearly can't breathe!Yeah I'm in love with the Disco version of the TOS uniforms:

I kinda liked early TNG's spandex suits, but then even TMP's got three times as many votes, so I guess I'm in the minority here.
If you were a little "hefty", you wouldn't want to wear one.I kinda liked early TNG's spandex suits, but then even TMP's got three times as many votes, so I guess I'm in the minority here.
This is now tied for being my favorite with the Monster Maroons. What I'd like to see, ideally, is this as the duty uniform, and Monster Maroons (only with the whole jacket in department colors instead of just one swatch at the shoulder) as the dress uniform.Yeah I'm in love with the Disco version of the TOS uniforms:

I agree with this idea. To me, I think having a layering style uniform with increasing layers for dress uniform makes sense. This is now tied for being my favorite with the Monster Maroons. I don't like the collar and the Assymetry. Otherwise, it's fine.Someone help him, he clearly can't breathe!
I just wish the pants were more like the dark grey Kelvin universe ones and that the shoulder pads synced up with the Futurama shoulder bits. They stick out slightly further and it really annoys me.
Still really cool to see Pike's guys in nuTOS unis instead of the Disco blues.
If it doesn't work IRL, it shouldn't be marketed in story as being good.In universe early TNG uniforms are great for humans who have achieved almost physical perfection (less flattering on the average Bolian though) able to wear sleek uniforms made from hygienic, comfortable, hard wearing fabric.
Out of the TV universe they stank, caused spine damage and were massively inconvenient.
And I want loads of pockets, this "Pocketless Futurism" is DUMB. If anything, we'd have more gadgets on hand and survival gear given the nature of StarFleet and randomized worst case scenarios of what can potentially happen to people.
They'd have loads of little trinkets for survival.
Perhaps a utility belt? And I want loads of pockets, this "Pocketless Futurism" is DUMB. If anything, we'd have more gadgets on hand and survival gear given the nature of StarFleet and randomized worst case scenarios of what can potentially happen to people.

Only if you want to go into combat with your Phaser Pistol / Long PhaserPerhaps a utility belt?
We can still have Pockets & a "Cashless Society"I too like pockets but Roddenberry envisaged a pocket free future based on a cashless society, doors with sensors so no need for keys and no need to carry anything to far because there's probably a replicator in the next room, through an automatic door.
Anything vital on a mission is carried on a discreet belt.
Pockets are also a relatively recent invention from our standpoint, perhaps they'll be a blip in history.
Army Surplus Belts from the Cage? or...Perhaps a utility belt?
Definitely the latter one.Army Surplus Belts from the Cage? or...
